UTAH STAT GRANT Students enter Opportunity Quest at University of Utah and rank in the top-10. Startup company, Navillum, formed to commercialize nanocrystal production process. COMPANY FORMD OPPORTUNITY QUST New Venture students start work creating business plan for nanocrystal technology. NW VNTUR PROJCT MTING INVNTORS journeys Navillum awarded $150K SBIR grant from National Science Foundation. Navillum wins $100K and People s Choice in the National Clean nergy Business Plan Competition. Navillum is a University of Utah startup company that began as a partnership between faculty and student inventors and students in the Lassonde New Venture Development program, who provided essential business support and guidance. Company founders compete with classmates in Bench-2-Bedside and win grand prize of $20,000. L LIYN Team competes in business summary plan competition and wins the grand prize worth $5,000. LIYN competed in the statewide idea competition and ranked in the top-10. LIYN is a student startup launched by Jackson Murphy, a student at the U, and Chris Ciancone, a graduate of Westminster. They came together through the Bench-2-Bedside competition and have been together since winning grand prize and $20,000 in that competition. They are leading a revolution from limitation by developing innovative, cool-looking inhalers. UTAH NTRPRNUR CHALLNG The founders returned to the ntrepreneur Club and got another $8,000 seed grant. MILSTON FUNDING OPPORTUNITY QUST LIYN pitched their business plan to the ntrepreneur Club and got a seed grant for $5,000. MILSTON FUNDING TCHTITANS Jackson Murphy enrolls in the Innovation Scholar program, pairing his passion with a purpose.
