In April 1954, Inha was founded according to a proposal made by then-president Syngman Rhee, under the goal to foster an 'MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in the East' for improvements in the field of engineering in Korea. 96 TOP QS Asian College Evaluation - 96th in Asia Inha was ranked at 96th by 'QS-Chosun College Evaluation in 2014.' The school has been proving its true value as it has been ranked within top 100 colleges in Asia for 6 consecutive years since 2009. 'QS-Chosun College Evaluation in 2014' conducted assessment procedure upon all universities and colleges in Asia based on 9 indicators in 4 different global categories. Those 4 categories include Research Category (60%); Educational Environment (20%); Reputation of Graduates (10%); and Globalization (10%). And the assessment procedure was performed through online interviews with 43,370 scholars and 8,003 human resource management directors from all around the world. Certified for Competence in Recruitment and Management of International Students Appointed as a certified university for its competence in recruitment and management of international students in March, 2013, the school is to maintain its status for 3 years. 'International Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS)' has been implemented since 2011 by the Ministry of Education, in order to recruit outstanding international students as well as to improve the quality of international student management at universities. Opened on October 1, 2014, IUT-Inha in Tashkent was established after Uzbekistan Government contributed the land, buildings and financial support. Inha is responsible for providing consultation and operating educational programs on Information Technology and Software Engineering; subsequently, the students at IUT are fully benefited as they learn under the identical curriculum with the Korean system by the professors and faculties dispatched from Inha. in the near future, it is also planned to develop curriculums which enable local students to take classes in Korea. In addition to the existing CSE, ICE department, engineering BUSI- NESS and logistics programs, the core strength of Inha, will be expanded or opened. *CSE : Computer science and engineering *ICE : Information and communication engineering College of Business Administration Acquired AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International) Certification On March 4, 2014, the College of Business Administration at Inha attained AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International) Certification, the most prestigious and recognized international certification in the field of business administration. AACSB reviews, evaluates and certifies the department of business administration of higher educational institutions based on 21 criteria including strategic operation, faculties, curriculums and accomplishments of academic goals as well as key critical indicators such as the ratio of lectures given by full-time faculty of the major and sufficiency of qualified teachers. Only less than 5% of all universities and colleges around the world - less than 10% of the schools in the U.S. - have acquired AACSB Certification. 04
