Patio roof Carport Solar cells

Architecture and home power generation This brochure is intended to provide information and inspiration for eco-fiends who want a combination of good design and renewable energy or anyone who just wants an alternative to putting solar panels on their house roof! System Bluetop is a concept for patio roofs, carports and other canopies of sterling quality in an impeccable, timeless design. Bluetop products have been developed as a complete solar cell solution that stands out for its light, timeless design. The patio roofs are made using photovoltaic glass, a solution in which solar cells are integrated decoratively in glass. This provides both plenty of light and softening shade. For carports there are two solutions: one with photovoltaic glass and another in which the roof is made up of high-efficiency integrated modules, with the modules forming the roof itself. As with the glass solution, the photovoltaic panels make up the actual surface of the roof. The canopies are also available with laminated safety glass without solar cells or a semi-transparent polycarbonate roof. Side panels come in frosted glass or high-pressure laminate. Who is behind the product? Solarglas A/S of Aarhus in Denmark makes the canopies, with and without solar cells. It also makes matching products for screening patios and concealing dustbins. Bluetop is a concept that has been developed over the last 6 years in collaboration with the Centre of New Industrialisation at the Danish Technological Institute and architect Colin K. Okashimo, among others. Solarglas A/S is system house for integrated solar cells and coope rates with Solarwatt GmbH, which manufactures the photovoltaic modules in Dresden, Germany, to the most demanding standards on the market. Installation is carried out by established partners, while specially trained, experienced electricians take care of connection. 3
Enjoy your patio every day all year round The roof is made of photovoltaic glass a semi-transparent double- glazed panel (toughened safety glass). The panels make up the roof canopy, with light and shade falling in a decorative pattern reminiscent of sitting under a tree on a sunny day. And more pleasant evenings outdoors come included! Patio roofs are available with and without solar cells. The solar cells generate your electricity and pay for your patio roof over the years. The standard version has a single pitch. A special angled version, the Arkip, can also be supplied. It has roof penetration to provide extra height and form a surface parallel to a pitched house roof. 4

Bluetop Carport, Type CP1 The design of this freestanding model is based on gantries, with steel sections creating an exciting contrast between the rustic steel and warm wood. The sturdy gantries support a floating roof of semi-transparent photovoltaic glass. The gantries wood inlay can be stained to coordinate with the house. The structure is the same as for patios. 6
