This course teaches system/application administrators to setup, configure and manage an Oracle WebLogic Application Server, its resources and environment and the Java EE Applications running on it. This includes commands and techniques for installing, configuring, deploying, and securing distributed, clustered systems deploying Java applications on WebLogic Server using both commandline, automated scripting, and Web based interfaces. This training focuses on best practices and techniques for building high availability, clustered configurations to ensure applications maximum uptime. Methods and architectures for hardening the implementation to provide reliable security are also emphasized. Students will be able to ensure Quality of Service for large scale JEE applications hosted on WebLogic Server 11. The interactions of the various architecture components will be demonstrated in the exercises. Course Objectives: This courses covers application server installation/application, configuration, management and deployment. It explains how to address the different Systematic Qualities such as availability, scalability, security and other QoS requirements. Among other topics this course covers: Installation Configuration of application server, resources and applications Java EE Application/Component deployment Security Monitoring Clustering Scripting The course also provides an overview of the Java EE Platform Duration 5 days Target Audience This training is targeted at System Administrators and developers wanting to understand more about administering a WebLogic instance. Experience with Java programming, networking (TCP IP, client/server, network structure) and general knowledge of software development principles is highly advisable. 1
