thanks for lifting the mask Thank you for registering to go makeup free and helping us to raise funds to combat negative body image and eating disorders. We recognise the importance of addressing body image issues in helping women and girls to ultimately develop a positive self-image. Our goal is to raise $250,000 for the Butterfly Foundation s education and support services to help Australians suffering from negative body image and eating disorders.100% of the funds that you raise will go directly into: 1. School workshops to help educate our young ones about self-esteem, positive body image and media literacy. 2. One-on-one counselling sessions for those suffering from an eating disorder or negative body image. 3. Group support programs for those suffering from an eating disorder. Donations for the 2014 Makeup Free Me campaign are open until 7th September 2014. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

FUNDRAISING TIPS & RESOURCES Below are some great tips to help you raise awareness, reach your fundraising target and of course have lots of fun along the way. REGISTER & SET UP YOUR PROFILE If you haven t already, register to go makeup free. You can register as an individual and then if you d like you can create or join a team. Doing it with a group of friends can be lots of fun. Make sure you personalise your profile with photos and messages to your supporters. GET YOUR FUNDRAISING ROLLING To kick-start your fundraising you could make a contribution to your own page, taking you one step closer to your target. USE SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAILS Share your fundraising profile page with family, friends and colleagues through Facebook and emails. Twitter and Instagram are also useful in helping to get the message out there. Don t forget to use the hashtags #liftthemask and #makeupfreeme. Check out the Fundraising Toolkit for Facebook, Twitter & Instagram cover photos that you can use on your social media pages. There are also images you can download to include in emails to your supporters. SEND OUT REMINDERS We all get busy so make sure you remind your friends about your page. EMPLOYER SUPPORT Get your employer to back you. Download a letter at www.makeupfreeme.com.au to ask for your employer s support. They may even match the dollars that you raise. MEDIA SUPPORT Get local media such as your local paper or radio station on board to support you or your team. Download a media release template at www.makeupfreeme.com.au. ORGANISE AN EVENT It gets a whole lot more exciting when you get together to celebrate your makeup free day. During the day you could organise a morning or afternoon tea and celebrate your makeup free day with a bunch of your besties. Check out the downloadable posters and bunting at www.makeupfreeme.com.au to brighten up your event. Or maybe in the evening, if you can t attend the official MFM Masquerade Girls Night event in Melbourne, you could organise your own girls night in or out. MFM MASQUERADE GIRLS NIGHT join us for a great MAkeup free NIGHT We love to party, so we re going to celebrate going makeup free with the official MFM Masquerade Girls Night at Rivers Edge on Friday 29th August. With delicious canapés, drinks, entertainment, giveaways and much more, it s going to be a night not to be missed. Guys, we re sorry, this one s just for the ladies but you can always purchase a ticket for your lady (and yes it is an 18+ event). Ladies, there s no need to bring a mask, we ll supply one on the night. All you have to do is come makeup free! Make sure you book your tickets early as tickets are limited.
