We are thankful to Chris for his ministry to our younger families and to Stacy for her ministry in the nursery. We know that Chris will follow the long tradition here where we give new Pastors from Seminary a solid foundation for Pastoral Ministry, and we wish him God s richest blessing for the future. We are planning that Chris will preach his final sermon in the Sanctuary on February 28th. Once our Session meets, we will update you with further information. The Flower Delivery Committee is looking for someone who would like to deliver flowers to sick or shut-ins once a month. Interested? Call Judy Morgan at 734-453-6099. Thank you! Interested in Contributing Flowers for Sanctuary Worship Services? After fifteen years of faithful volunteering, Carol Dobos is no longer scheduling floral arrangements for Sunday worship services. Effective immediately, I will be scheduling the floral arrangements for the worship services in the sanctuary. If you are interested in contributing a floral arrangement, please contact me, Nancy White 734-453-1044 nancyjwhite@comcast.net Two floral arrangements are donated to the sanctuary worship services each week; the florist currently charges $25 for each bouquet of seasonal flowers. Thank you! FPCP is working more closely with our Presbytery and its program for foster children. Our prayer ministry can help by praying for a special child in foster care. This month we are praying for 17 year old Justice. This helpful, caring and friendly young man likes the outdoors and lists playing outside and riding bikes among his favorite activities. On his list of after-school activities, Justice includes playing catch and baseball, and mowing grass. When the dinner bell rings, Justice comes running and says there are no foods I don t like. More information on Justice and other children looking for a forever family is available at http://www.mare.org. This month we are also praying for ALL the children. YOU CAN HELP MICHIGAN'S 13,000 CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE. How? See pictures of our kids awaiting forever families at www.mare.org. Pray for one or two of them on a regular basis. Is God nudging you to find out more about foster parenting, adopting, mentoring or giving respite care? Talk with experienced foster and adoptive parents who can provide answers.
