What is Engineering? Engineering is the discipline, art and profession of acquiring and applying technical, scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that safely realize a desired objective or inventions Scientists discover the world that exist; engineers create the world that never was TheodoreVon Karman, Aerospace Engineer
Engineering & Architecture Radio, television, telephones, computers, airplanes, space vehicles, automobiles, refrigerators and heaters, office machinery and home appliances, life-saving medical equipment and Martian battles fought with joysticks represent a mere sampling of the now familiar facets of life made possible by engineers, technologists and technicians & YOU could be part of it. What is Electrical Engineering? Electrical engineering is a profession that uses science, technology, and problem-solving skills to design, construct, and maintain products, services, and information systems. Electrical engineering is the historical name for what is now called electrical, electronics, and computer engineering.
Electrical / Electronics Engineering Background and Overview Generation, distribution and/or application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical engineering is considered the largest of all engineering disciplines. Electrical Engineers have a desire to understand how things work and to learn continuously throughout their careers. As an electrical engineer you could work in areas that are at the very forefront of technological innovation.

Electrical Engineering The field now covers a range of sub-studies: High and low power generation & distribution Electronics Digital Systems Digital & wireless communications Control Systems & Automation Mechatronics Engineer Robotics Interior and exterior lighting design Computer power supply systems Emergency power systems (UPS) Construction & project management Life Safety Systems Site investigation, inspection and reports Energy management Alternative sources of power (solar, wind, etc.) Medical imaging
Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering Power engineering: dealing with the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity as well as the design of a range of related devices, such as transformers, electric generators, electric motors and power electronics.
A photovoltaic system is a system which uses solar cells to convert light into electricity. A photovoltaic system consists of multiple components, including cells, mechanical and electrical connections and mountings and means of regulating and/or modifying the electrical output. Due to the low voltage of an individual solar cell (typically ca. 0.5V), several cells are combined into photovoltaic modules, which are in turn connected together into an array. The electricity generated can be either stored, used directly or fed into a large electricity grid powered by central generation plants (grid-connected/gridtied plant) or combined with one or many domestic electricity generators to feed into a small grid (hybrid plant). HERCULES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS
What is a Fire Alarm? The main purpose of a fire alarm system is to protect life and property by giving early warning of a fire, so that the occupants can evacuate and/or the Fire Department can respond. A system must be able to detect the initiation of a fire condition, but also notify someone such as emergency personnel, the ocupants of the facility, or both. Complete Life Safety Systems Fire alarm and suppression system design Intrusion detection systems security Access control Sprinkler pre-action systems Communication and data systems Close circuit television (CCTV)
