Bachelor of Environmental Science; Earth Resources (Single Major) (BEnvSc) Part Time Study Load Structure Aim The Earth Resources major is concerned with the physical environment and environmental auditing of damaged systems. Students will learn preventative or remedial measures to minimise the impact of mineral and water resource extraction and natural occurrences such as earthquakes, floods and erosion. Entry requirements To be eligible for selection, applicants are required to have: Completed the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE); and Received an OP of 10 (Rank 80) or higher; Content and structure Students are required to complete 64 units of study for the successful completion of the program. The program consists of 48 units of core studies; of which 32 units are compulsory courses and16 units are Earth Resources elective courses. 12 units of the 16 units of electives must be later year courses. The final 16 units of study are fourth year courses and may be comprised of honours, see below. Honours Students completing this degree with an average GPA of 5 or above and who have completed 32 units of compulsory courses are eligible to apply for admission to the Honours program. Honours students will complete 16 units of compulsory Honours courses as part of their final year courses.
