What makes us unique Developed in accordance with the guidelines of the National Association of Schools of Music in the United States, our Bachelor of Music program has a twofold focus on performance - in both classical and jazz music - and instruction in theory and composition. As a student in the Bachelor of Music program you will be given comprehensive training to achieve a level of performance that is expected of professional musicians. You ll be part of a vibrant community of music professionals and participate in recitals and concerts, working and performing next to professional musicians of the highest quality. At the same time, you will acquire broad knowledge and skills in music history, theory, composition, and musical analysis. unique The program s balanced mix of professional music training and instruction in theory and composition can also be complemented by coursework in the teaching of music, which will prepare you for a career as a music educator. The members of our faculty, such as Dimitris teach Vassilakis (Jazz Performance) and Margarita Syngeniotou (Voice), come from an international background, with degrees earned at renowned institutions in the US and Germany. They are active musicians who perform or their work is performed in important musical centers throughout the world. They have a long experience in teaching music and are engaged in performance projects, in which students are often welcome to participate. All instructors are fully committed to mentoring their students.

Get ready for the workplace or further studies As a student in the Bachelor of Music program you will acquire a strong set of skills in musicianship, theory and composition, including the following: Advanced performance skills required of a professional musician. Fluency in the tools and skills of theoretical work and composition, including keyboard skills, conducting and rehearsal skills. Skills in using concepts, tools and techniques to develop a composition, from concept to a complete work. Exceptional aural and analytical skills in music. Familiarity with using music technology for composition, analysis, and performance. workplace studies An introduction to other fields that are essential in the musician s life, such as foreign languages, psychology, art history, theater, technology, and history.
