Overview Finance improvements (Manage cash flow) Simplifying rental device process Standardize fixed asset concept based on actual USA process Simplifying decommissioning process Manufacturing, Logistic, Service & equipment master improvements Transportation module optimizes shipments processes establishing WEB services and EDI interfaces Reduce order complexity for users (one source to look at) Automate, simplify and standardize Lot/S/N tracking (Receive parts/devices, manufacture device, track device & components, return, exchange, rework and decommissioning) Simplify variances of item numbers by moving to a more Lot/S/N concept Detailed integrated equipment status information (hotel, hub replaces several sub processes (excel), provides internal and external reported information Identified and solved issues in current process 12
Production Parent/Child Equipment Master 3 By pressing the generate button the systems gets created in the equipment master database The following information needs to be entered: - WO number - Production employee - System serial number - Component Serial numbers or versions One work order to produce several finished goods Tracking of components by device Creates Equipment Master Entry External produced devices (parent/child) can be imported 13
Standard Depreciation & Post to General Ledger process and reports 14 14
Shipment Process Combine Orders ( Loan / sell) 7 After the shipping order is entered the first step is to combine orders if necessary. The majority of shipping orders consist of two separate orders within OneWorld, e.g. one order for the rented equipment (devices) and one order for the sold equipment (consumables, manuals) To ship both orders as one shipment we created a program to combine the orders: Both orders need to be shipped as one shipment After combining the shipments both orders have the same shipment number 15
Shipment Process 8 After the equipment is picked from the warehouse and packed, the shipping department enters data like Packing details, forwarder and requested delivery date into the system The entered information automatically gets printed on the delivery note: 16
Shipment Process 9 After all details are entered the data get submitted via the interface to the forwarder A shipping order for the forwarder and labels for the packages can be printed automatically: 17
Shipment Process 9 We set-up a status structure throughout the whole process. Several status are set thru internal processes. Some are released thru the EDI interface or can be set manually Shipment tracking via interface: As soon as the forwarder received the shipment at their depot and booked the flight for the shipment they send the first tracking information: Status changed to 35 Tracking number of the shipment 18
Shipment Process 9 The forwarder also sends a link to their tracking page. This link is attached to the shipment in OneWorld: 19 19
Shipment Process 9 Shipment tracking manually: If the shipment was sent with an forwarder without an interface the shipping team is entering the tracking number manually The tracking number (reference number) as well as the used forwarder (carrier) is visible in the shipment tracking program 20 20
Equipment Master Updates (INV-Meeting/Return) 16 Each booked serial number receives the location HOE A status change and every change of location is tracked within the equipment master 21
Interfaces & Examples How good can you integrate 3 rd party products? Example: Document management, Scanning How can you leverage the tools we have? Example: BI-Publisher Enterprise department drill in report 22
