Sweet Dream In A Bag Newsletter Feb/March 2017 Providing New Bedding, Caring and Love to Children in Transition A Mom asked if we could give her son an air mattress. It would help her son sleep more comfortable, her 5 year boy has been sleeping in a crib all these years and now he is getting so tall--it hurts his legs to sleep in the crib, so lately she has let him have her bed (the couch) and she sleeps on the floor! She was so excited and said, "Now I can go back to sleeping on the couch and my son can have his "Big Boy Bedding" and an air mattress to call his own bed!"

Sweet Dream Help Sweet Dream is so thankful: A grant writer has volunteered to mentor & coach Sweet Dream thru the process of larger Grant Writing! Grant writing takes years of experience to learn the process and be

able present your organization in the best way to foundations. A young woman is designing Sweet Dream a new Website, it should be up and running soon! The new format will help in the ease of adding articles and keeping it updated. Sweet Dream is in need of a new promotional video. A young woman is researching and looking to find someone to film and produce it for Sweet Dream. Please if you have any good contacts let us know and we will pass them on to her. These new projects and the many volunteer hours these people are putting into each project will help the future of Sweet Dream to expand and bless more children. We are so thankful for the help! These were three areas so important as Sweet Dream grows! February "Pack & Pray" There were over 70 people at the February Pack & Pray over 140 Sweet Dream Bags were packed. What a morning we had tables everywhere--it was amazing to see so many people

excited to volunteer and pack such beautiful gifts for these precious children that we serve! We had several people bring sheet sets, twin comforters, baby quilts and monetary donations, it felt like a big party! Many people see what Sweet Dream provides these children and they give the children their time and donations! Sweet Dream has been able to always have enough bedding for every child that is referred to us! It is amazing! In January over 100 children were gifted with new bedding and by the time February is over we will have gifted more that 200 children (aprox. $10,000 worth of bedding gifted just in February)!!!

Sweet Dream at Conferences

It was an honor and pleasure to be invited to the Optimist District Conference and share how several Optimist Clubs are partnering with Sweet Dream both in Denver and Colorado Springs. We had a wonderful time meeting new clubs and asking us to come speak with their members! The first weekend in March we will be at the Rocky Mountain District Kiwanis Mid-Winter Conference. We will be sharing with different clubs the excitement and how their clubs can get involved with touching the lives of the children that Sweet Dream serves. Kiwanis Clubs that are already helping in Lone Tree, Denver, Castle Rock, Arvada-Jefferson County, Ft. Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Monument & Pueblo. It is always exciting to meet new people and share the vision of Sweet Dream -- there are still so many children that need cozy, warm bedding! Together we are making a difference!!!

Gifting Event Warren Village is coming up -- March 6th, 6:30 pm 1300 Gilpin St., Denver 80218 Each child feels cared about, special and loved by the time and attention each volunteer gives! Keep checking the Event Calendar on the website:

www/sweetdreaminabag.org -- CLICK ON Event Calendar An Easy Way To Donate to Sweet Dream Consider a monthly donation of $50, that would provide a beautiful Sweet Dream Bag to one child per month---that would be 12 children per year you would be providing for! You can make a monthly reoccurring donation on the Sweet Dream website: www.sweetdreaminabag.org thru PayPal This is an easy way to make sure Sweet Dream has enough bedding for each precious child that has so very little. Together we have made a huge impact!!!
