1 Email Notification configuration 1.1 Mail Server Table 1.1.1 Mail Server You may set the IP Address or Hostname and Domain name of SMTP mail server in this field. 1. Fill the IP address in this field by IP address, the DNS IP Address would not be set anymore. Setting by IP address 2. When set this field with FQDN (Full Qualified Domain Name), please notice the DNS Address filed would be set. The DNS Address must with IP address format and make sure this DNS server can resolve the FQDN that be set in Mail Server field.

Setting by FQDN with DNS Address 1.1.2 User Account and User Password Almost all of mail server need authenticate User Account and User Password when you want to send email by this server. These two fields should be set with legal User Account and User Password that exist in mail server you used. User Account and Password 1.1.3 Sender s Email Address This field specify the content of the From field of the Email. If this field be set, the email From format will same as that you set.

Setting with Sender s Email Address Received email From format 1.1.4 Mail Subject Prefix The string prefix in the mail subject to identify the USHA which send out the mail. For example, you have 10 USHA devices at the same partition and would not USHA send mail with IP address. You can set IP address in this filed for each USHA device. By this way, the Mail Subject Prefix that you set will attach in mail subject when received. It differences the mail source easily and clearly.

Mail Subject Prefix setting Received mail with Mail Subject Prefix 1.1.5 DNS Address You are required to enter the IP address of your network DNS server if you entered a Hostname or FQDN. Otherwise, this field will contain 0.0.0.0. 1.1.6 Mail Daily Status Report At (hh:mm) If you intend to have the USHA Web/SNMP UPS Card send a Daily Status report to select email address (Mail Accounts), you need to enter the time of day in 24-hour format at which time you want the email sent and mail type must be Daily status.

1.2 Mail Account Table Mail Account Table should be set the mail account that you want to receive mail. There are 4 Mail Type and 3 Event Level can be choice. By this way, you can define and filter mail message from USHA. 1.2.1 Mail Account You may enter the email address of the individual you wish to have the USHA Web/SNMP UPS Card send mail to. 1.2.2 Description Enter a description for reference purposes for each of the Mail Account you configure. 1.2.3 Mail Type As Administrator, you are allowed to select what type of email is sent to a specific Mail Account. The choices are None, Events, Daily Status, or Event/Status. Mail Type 1. None The default of None allows you to disable the sending of email to a specific recipient. 2. Events Selecting Events specifies that the recipient should only receive short

event-related messages. 3. Daily Status Selecting Daily Status specifies that the recipient should only receive the Daily Status message that contains three file attachments containing information logged by the Web/SNMP UPS Card (in CSV format suitable for viewing in Microsoft Excel). Events/Status Selecting Events/Status specifies that the recipient should receive an email message containing the event-related notification and the three file attachments (as described above), each time an event notification is sent. 1.2.4 Event Level As Administrator, you are allowed to select the severity level of notification you wish to send to each Mail Account configured to be sent Mail Type: Events or Events/Status. This filter is based on the SNMP-based traps (events) and allows selection of Informational, Warning or Severe. Refer to the MIB documentation included with the adapter for more information. Information When event level is information, warning or severe, system will send mail. Warning - When event level is warning or severe, system will send mail. Severe - Only when event level is severe, system will send mail. Event Level

1.3 Send Test test. If you want to make sure this setting can send mail successfully, you can use this function to Send Test

2 Email Event Log When system sent mail to SMTP mail server, you can through USHA Events Log to check send status. If sent mail successfully, it will only record Mail sent. If sent mail fail, it will record Mail sent and fail reason. 2.1 Mail Sent If event log displayed Mail sent that means system sent mail to SMTP mail server, but cannot sure the mail sent successfully. Event Log 2.2 Incorrect Mail receiver If event log displayed Incorrect Mail receiver that means your mail account incorrect or not exist. You must check your mail account configuration. 2.3 Mail send error / unknow error After Incorrect Mail receiver event log will displayed Mail send error / unknow error that also means your mail account incorrect or not exist. You must check your mail account configuration. You must check your mail server configuration. Event Log
