Syftet med ordlistan är att underlätta för funktionärer vid och medlemmar i Teknologkåren vid Lunds Tekniska Högskolan (TLTH) när dessa ska skriva eller tala på engelska i Kårsammanhang. Ordlistan fastställer också vilka engelska uttryck som ska användas för att översätta postnamn, evenemang och dylikt. Det är tillåtet att använda det svenska namnet på poster eller evenemang även i engelska texter om så anses lämpligt. Detta bör dock göras mycket sparsamt om det svenska uttrycket är svåruttalbart eller svårt att komma ihåg för engelskspråkiga studenter Egennamn, poster och evenemang versaliseras generellt enkelt på svenska, (exempelvis Kårhusservice förvaltare) och i Kamelnotation på engelska (exempelvis Kårhuset Service Manager).
