NJE Support > CA WA Restart Option s Online Interfaces allow the specification of an NJE node name to retrieve JOB information from. The NJE jobs information can be displayed and may be altered to allow the submitting system to control the restart of NJE jobs in the same way that they control the restart of local jobs, thus eliminating the need to logon to the NJE system to setup a job for restart. This uses GTS to communicate between NJE systems. 4

Online Interfaces The Online Interface modules create a linear command that is passed to a processor module and the results of processing the command are passed back to the interface module for display. At the point that the linear command is complete and a processor module is about to be chosen, the presence of a remote destination is detected and the command is passed to the remote destination for processing. When the command is processed, the results are passed back to the originating destination and displayed. 16

NJE Job Submission Scenario The Data Center in Dallas is the central location for job submission. Jobs submitted from here may run in Seattle or Bangor. CA WA Restart Option r11 and GTS must be running on all 3 systems. JOB1SEA (a 5 step job) is submitted to run in Seattle and completes successfully, but the report created in the 3 rd step is lost. 22
