He studied industrial design at L École de Design Nantes Atlantique where he graduated in 2003. His studies also include a scholarship exchange at the Faculty of Art and Design of the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi, Finland. He moved to Milan after his graduation to collaborate with George J. Sowden on numerous project for renowned international clients such as Tefal, Pyrex, Alstom, Pamar, Lorenz, Smith & Hsu... From 2009 to 2012 he has been a key consultant for the new SOWDEN brand, following the design, development, engineering and production of a range of houseware products. He currently collaborates with Bellon & Partners while pursuing his design consultant activity. His work has been featured in a number of exhibitions including : Melting Pot (Milano 2013); Design with Heart (Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2013); Design Supermarket - la Rinascente (Milano 2009); ISOT fair (Design Tokyo 2009); Industreal (Milano 2008); First Cuts (Milano 2007); Dream (Milano, 2006); Model Ideas (Milano, 2005) or European Way(s) of Life (Paris, 2002).
FR Né en 1979, à Nantes, France. Il étudie le design industriel à L École de Design Nantes Atlantique où il obtient son diplôme en 2003. Il effectue un semestre d étude en Finlande, à la Faculté des arts et du Design de l Université de Laponie à Rovaniemi. Il s installe à Milan après son diplôme et collabore avec George J. Sowden sur de nombreux projets pour des clients de renommée internationale tel que Tefal, Pyrex, Alstom, Pamar, Lorenz, Smith & Hsu... Entre 2009 et 2012 il est un consultant clé pour la marque SOWDEN pour laquelle il suit le design, le développement, l ingénierie et la production d une gamme de produits pour les univers des arts de la table et de la cuisine. Aujourd hui il collabore avec l agence Bellon & Partners tout en poursuivant son activité de designer consultant pour différents partenaires industriels. Plusieurs de ses travaux ont étés présentés dans des expositions telles que : Melting Pot (Milano 2013); Design with Heart (Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2013); Design Supermarket - la Rinascente (Milano 2009); ISOT fair (Design Tokyo 2009); Industreal (Milano 2008); First Cuts (Milano 2007); Dream (Milano, 2006); Model Ideas (Milano, 2005) or European Way(s) of Life (Paris, 2002). Dal 2009 al 2012 svolge un ruolo di consulente chiave per il marchio SOWDEN per il quale segue la progettazione, lo sviluppo, l ingenierizzazione e la produzione di oggetti casalinghi. Oggi, collabora con Bellon & Partners continuando la sua attivita di consulenza con diversi partners industriali. SOWDEN Product range, 2009-2012 SOWDEN is the signature brand from Milan based designer George Sowden. He is using his experience, of more than three decades in this market, to develop a collection that meets a growing demand for new products which embody a contemporary idea of functionality. SOWDEN is interested in that particular moment at home which brings together family and friends through the shared daily activities of cooking, eating and drinking.

Pamar Porcelain Handle collection, Pamar, 2010 An ancient material for a contemporary collection. Pamar asked a group of height designers to design a new collection of porcelain handles. The SowdenDesign team, lead the technical development, supplier sourcing and production of the collection.

Chilla Mug Chitec, 2009 New, refine and elegant design for this mug made in Chilla, an eco-material developped by the taiwanese company Chitec Technology. The design of this mug demonstrate that ecomaterial made objects can be a stylish and attractive reality. The handle propose an unexpected ergonomy that help the grip and protect the fingers from the hot wall. This project been presented at the ISOT Fair 2009 in Tokyo, Japan. Edited by Chitec Technology. Elegance Pyrex, 2008 Elegance is a range of glass ovenware and prepware designed and signed by SowdenDesign for Pyrex. A balanced and refined aesthetic characterized by soft curves and flowing lines. A special attention has been given to handles ergonomics and light reflection. Working closely with the AIC teams, SowdenDesign has refined and modernised this hundred-years-old brand and brought it into the 21rst century.

Elegance Aluminum Pyrex, 2008 Elegance Aluminium is a range of cast aluminium cookware designed by SowdenDesign for Pyrex. This project was created as a stovetop complement to the Elegance glass ovenware range.

All Stainless Steel TEFAL, 2007 SowdenDesign developed for Tefal a series of concepts for stainless steel pans. This research explored different techniques such as embossing or etching to apply some original patterns to the products. We also proposed insert of various material to decorate the handles.

SQUASH Smith & Hsu / Jmie, 2007 SQUASH is a fine chinese porcelain tea set design by George J. Sowden for tea shops chain store Smith & Hsu. Choosen to be part of Jamie Oliver product collection Jmie.
Digitel Alstom, 2007 Redesign of a telecomunication system for the Italian national railway network. SowdenDeisgn took care of the design and engineering, sourced the manufacturer and organized the production. Alstom requiered this product to be particularly strong, with a high level of ergonomy and modularity in order to adapt to numerous different working environement, rather rough conditions and customized setup.
