Objectives This presentation will review the following features: How to Log in to Provider Express Retrieve a forgotten password Update an expired password First-time User access Administrator-level accounts Manage Users feature Confidential property of Optum. Log In From the home page of Provider Express, users may log in or register for the first time Confidential property of Optum. Do not distribute or reproduce without express permission from Optum. 3
Log In Click on Log In from the home page to display the login screen Input a valid User ID and Password then click the [Log In] button If you have password issues, you can click on the Forgot your password link for assistance Confidential property of Optum. Log In Forgot Your Password Clicking on the Forgot Your Password link will display this screen Respond to the security question on file Type the New Password information Click the [Reset Password] button Confidential property of Optum. Log In Updating an Expired Password If users receive a system message Your password has expired they are prompted to change their password For security reasons, passwords need to be changed every 90 days To update your password, type a New Password that meets all requirements Review and check the agreement box Click the [Update Password] button Confidential property of Optum. First-time Users To register for a Login ID for the first time, click on the First-time User link from the home page of Provider Express Confidential property of Optum. Do not distribute or reproduce without express permission from Optum. 7

First-time Users Request a Login ID by following these steps: 1. Select User Type 2. Enter Provider information 3. Select Role of user 4. Enter Security code 5. Click Submit Confidential property of Optum. Do not distribute or reproduce without express permission from Optum. 9
First-time Users Login ID Registration Continue the Registration process by confirming that the correct provider name displays and then fill in all required fields Required Information: 1. Set up a User Name 2. Select a password 3. Create Security Questions 4. Provide contact name & email 5. Accept Site Use Agreement Confidential property of Optum. Administrator-level Access Administrator-level account holders have access to the Manage Users feature in My Provider Express Access Manager Users to set up additional users: Click on My Provider Express from the main Provider Express menu Select Manage Users Confidential property of Optum. Administrator-level Accounts: Add New User (cont d) Follow these steps to add new users: 1. 1 Fill in first and last name 2. 2 Enter and confirm the email address for the new user 3. 3 Assign user role as Delegate or Administrator as appropriate 4. 4 Select the secure Transactions appropriate for the person s job function 5. 5 Click the Create button 1 2 3 4 5 Provider Express will display a confirmation message to indicate that the user was successfully added Registration information will be sent to the new user s email address Confidential property of Optum. Administrator-level Accounts: Add New User (cont d) New users will receive an email inviting them to complete their registration on Provider Express After clicking the link, a user will have the opportunity to select a User Name, Password and Security Questions Confidential property of Optum. Additional Manage Users features Administrator-level account holders may also access the Manage Users feature to: Lock and unlock user accounts Change access to Provider Express secure Transactions Adjust a user s role (Administrator or Delegate) To access these features, click on the user s last name Confidential property of Optum. Additional Manage Users features Administrator-level account holders may update user settings in several ways: 1 Add or remove access to Provider Express Transactions 2 Change role of user (Delegate or Administrator account type) 3 Lock an account by selecting Yes or Unlock by selecting No 4 Click Update when complete 1 2 3 4 Confidential property of Optum.
