Permission to grant the BA degree is expected in late 2008.
the Program Preamble The studies for an undergraduate degree (B. A.) at the New School of Psychology, are divided into three parts. s in Psychology 2. s at the Supplementary Cluster. General s s in Psychology The psychology courses required for the degree consist of 92 * semester hours, as follows: (English communication skills not included) st Year Mandatory s Semester English communication skills for 8 S. H. * Please note: The number of semester hours studied during the course of the undergraduate degree studies can be higher than the number of credits awarded for the degree. This is because that credits are not awarded for some of the courses studied during the undergraduate degree studies. s in the Supplementary Cluster Every student is obligated to take one of the Supplementary Cluster offered (consisting of 2 semester hours) during the three years of the undergraduate degree studies. The Supplementary Clusters offered are: a. Business Administration b. Government and Politics c. Communications In order to ease the st year study load and to assist in the selection of a Supplementary Cluster, we suggest the st year student take only one course from each Cluster. It is recommended that those students who decided at which Cluster they desire to study, prior to the commencement of the academic year, study only the course at their preferred Cluster. With respect to those students who have not yet decided upon a preferred Cluster, or who are considering various possibilities, it is recommended to take up to courses from the various Clusters and, towards the end of the year, to select the Supplementary Cluster. The additional courses, from other Clusters, that these students took, will be considered as general courses. After the selection of a Cluster, the students will complete the remaining courses during the 2 nd and rd years. General s During the course of the degree studies, students must study general elective courses for a total of 8 semester hours from amongst the selection of courses offered by the IDC Herzliya. 2
