You must have, or expect to obtain, an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) with at least 60 ECTS credits in economics, economic history, history or statistics. We normally look for undergraduates with excellent results from an internationally recognised university. When assessing your academic record, we take into account your grade average and your Statement of Purpose. Undergraduates are recommended to have a minimum average grade equivalent to 3.0 in cumulated grade point average (CGPA) out of 4, C in the ECTS grading scale, and B in the American grading scale.

Career prospects Many graduates from the programme choose to work at national or international organizations in positions requiring analytical skills. Recent graduates work at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), German parliament, United Nations, HSBC, Hong Kong Banking Services, and Nordea. Successful completion of the programme will enable graduates to apply to PhD studies in economic history.
Admission requirements REQUIRED BACHELOR DEGREE You must have, or expect to obtain, an undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) with at least 60 ECTS credits in economics, economic history, history or statistics. SELECTION CRITERIA Based on academic qualifications and Statement of Purpose. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY Strong English language communication skills are crucial to gain the full benefit of the programmes we offer. However, meeting the minimum English language test requirements, does not guarantee admission. WHAT ARE OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS? We require what is called English 6 (advanced level) language proficiency, which can be demonstrated in various ways. We prefer candidates to take the IELTS test where possible. We accept the following tests and minimum scores: IELTS score of 6.5 (with no section less than 5.5) TOEFL paper-based score of 4.5 (scale 1-6) in written test and a total score of 575 TOEFL internet based score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test and a total score of 90
Fees and funding There are no application or tuition fees for citizens of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. For non-eu/eea citizens the tuition fee is SEK 120,000 per year (approximately 13,170 per year). Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are generally required to pay application and tuition fees. Lund Learning Model THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT ADOPTS A STUDENT-CENTRED APPROACH TO TEACH- ING AND LEARNING. The aim is to increase students capacity for advanced problem solving, resulting in better decision-making abilities. Critical thinking and freedom of mind are stimulated in all activities - in seminars and workshops students analyse and present solutions to given problems and assignments. Theoretical concepts are tested in practical situations, and practical experiences are employed to develop and enrich theory. Students experience an open, informal study environment, with teachers and students on a first-name basis. Teaching is often done in small groups, which encourages dialogue and collaboration and teachers are accessible outside lecture hours. The educational methods used case methodology, team-building exercises, simulations, reality-based learning, learning portfolios, conceptual models, degree projects and the preparation of reports combine to enable our students to develop a range of proficiencies which serve them well in their future careers.
