Case Studies Defence Support Group HR restructuring with 250,000 of recurring savings Leeds Building Society An expanding service DSG, which provides expert in-house equipment maintenance and support services to the Ministry of Defence, chose Equiniti to review the structure of the HR function and recommend different working models. Equiniti recommended and guided the organisation through a number of steps in order to meet its objective. Equiniti enabled DSG to implement more efficient HR processes, restructure its HR function and facilitate 250,000 of recurring savings on its HR costs. Equiniti began by providing Leeds Building Society with a bureau payroll service for each of Leeds three payrolls, carrying out certain processes involved in the payroll function while Leeds retained responsibility for others. A managed transition eventually took the payroll service from a bureau service to a managed service, with Equiniti providing a comprehensive offering covering everything from retro runs, calculations and validation to BACS processing, producing reports, printing payslips and proactively implementing legislative changes. In 2012 Equiniti took on Leeds pensions auto-enrolment function.
