Harmonised standards or standardisation documents applied EN 14154: 2007 Edition; OIML R 49: 2006 Edition. 2. Name and construction type of the measuring device Axial turbine water meter for hot and cold water Type denomination: W'tW E02F 3. Description of the Type The WKV E02F is an axial turbine water meter for hot and cold water (T90) with a nominal range of DN10, which can be adapted to a variety of attachment sizes and additional adapters to the assembly array. The WKV collects consumption data and stores thern ready to be read off subsequently. These consumption data are displayed on the liquid crystal display (LCD) and can be read off retrospectively using a standard optocoupler. The data can also be read off rernotely via radio transmission from outside the residential complex using the WKV E02F model. 4. Construction The WKV E02F comprises two parts: one mechanical and the other electronic. The mechanical flow meter assembly is built into the measuring tube and is evaluated by means of a pulse sensor and computer electronics. The pulse sensor and the computer electronies are available in a compact version or a split version. In the compact version, the pulse sensor is built into the computer electronics and is attached to the measuring tube with a fixture clip. Measuring device The water meter's mechanical measuring unit comprises an axial turbine flow sensor, wh ich is built into the measuring tube. The turbine is sealed at the entrance and the exit with an 8-hole disc made of plastic. The turbine and the dividing disc are made with such dimensions that no clogging should be expected when working under normal conditions and smaller particles will be flushed through. DIese. Computing device The pulse sensor and the computer electronics are available in a compact version or a split version. The pulse sensor (Wiegand) generales impulses on the basis of the rotation of the magnets installed in the turbine and feeds them on to the computer electronics, so that the volume in m 3 is accumulated constantly from the number of impulses, as the value of the impulses is set at 512 impulses/litre. When there is a flow, the display will be activated and the cumulative volume will appear, expressed in m 3, with aresolution of 6 digits, three of which are after the decimal point. This means that the maximum cumulative volume that can be displayed is 999.999 m 3. As a result of the reading protocol via the optical interface, there is no risk that the display will run over without being noticed. Opto-e/ectronic interface The entire data memory in the M-Bus standard protocol can be read off in compliance with EN 1434-3 using a standard optocoupler via the opto-electronic interface. In a rolling memory, the monthly values are stored in 15 registers, so that any display overrun can be checked al any time. Remote readings The water meter is fitted with a retrospective, two-way radio system, with which all the information in the data memory in the M-Bus standard protocol can be read off in compliance with EN 1434-3. The radio address co rresponds 10 the serial number printed on the water meter, which can also be read off electro-optically. DIeses Dokument darl nur in \IQII, tllndiger Fonn weitergegeben werden. Requirements tor commissioning The WKV E02F can be used on au common water connection points in the household and in industry, as lang as it is installed directly before the tap, so as to avoid any water return. If this is not possible, a non-return valve must be insta Ued before the water meter, so as to stop the water flowing back in any way.
