BSB51915 Diploma of Leadership & Management This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources. Licensing/Regulatory Information No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Entry requirement Learners need to be employed part-time or full-time basis in leadership, supervisory and management roles. Also, learners require proficient language, literacy, numeracy skills. Learners are required to complete the course while they engage in their employment. Note: A part-time or full-time employment is required to absorb fully and reflect on the skills tapped by the units of competencies. Orientation All learners will receive course orientation prior to the commencement. The scope of orientation entails but not limited to: Information about the delivery methods, training and assessment strategies and practices. Discussing the assistive technology requirements that are required to undertake this course (e.g., learners need to have access to a computer and a high-speed internet for Webinar sessions). Providing learners with training calendar. Informing about RTO s assessment methods, due dates, and scope. Informing learners about training staff, and other relevant staff. Discussing code of conduct and WHS requirements. Disseminating information about RTO s support services and how to access them. Information about Unique Student Identifier (USI) procedures. Learners are required to complete written projects and practical tasks, which collectively reflect the requirements of the units of competency and current workplace practices and trends. Assessment is continuous throughout the duration of the course. Completed and submitted work will be assessed within 14 calendar days, and feedback will be provided, and final certification upon completion will be issued in 30 calendar days. If learners work is assessed to be not yet competent additional educational and special support including coaching, or tutoring, will be deployed. Also, learners will be given the opportunity to re-submit the work with a view to having it assessed as satisfactory. Feedback and information regarding the learner's competency, study progress will be provided by the Velocity Education & Training Pty Ltd. s trainer/assessors on a regular basis. Ongoing support is available to all learners and will be provided as soon as the need is identified. Fees & charges Total Course Fee: AUD $5000 Itemised Fees Enrolment Fee: AUD$150.00 (non-refundable) Student Resources Online resource, textbooks and printed notes = $500.00 Tuition Fees: $4350.00 Note: Fees for Individual competencies is set at $400 excluding resource fees if the full course is not required. Payment schedule Payment required in advance A deposit of $1050 of the total course fee is required from each learner. On enrolment applicants are required to pay $150 non-refundable enrolment fee + $500 resource and $400 tuition fee = Total $1050. 4 subsequent payments of $987.50 will be made every three months. National Recognition / credit transfer Credit transfer is available for completed past studies in areas related to the qualification that the learner wishes to undertake. Learners are advised of the process of applying for credit transfer and assisted by the Trainer/Assessor during the application process. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) Candidates who believe they have already obtained current skills and knowledge that would otherwise be covered in the qualification / unit of competence for which they intend to attain, should apply for RPL at the time of enrolment. The candidate s skills and knowledge will be assessed and validated, and where appropriate, units of competency acknowledged and formal training reduced. The recognition of prior learning procedure will be made known to candidates at the time of enrolment. If you can demonstrate competency through provision of sufficient, current, valid and authentic evidence of work experience, life skills, and study or via other evidence, then you may be granted RPL for that unit of competency. RPL fees: Half of the total tuition fees, enrolment fees with no resource fees added, that is $2325. Awards & Course Completion and Outcomes Learners obtaining a competent result for all listed competencies will achieve the nationally recognised award for the BSB61015- Diploma of Leadership & Management. Learners, who do not complete the required 12 units of competency to achieve the Diploma, will receive a Statement of Attainment for those units that they have successfully completed.
