Deployment of Digital Capital Technology Park in -DF The design of the Digital Capital Technology Park (PTCD), an initiative of the Federal District Development Agency TERRACAP, was created from the conduction of comprehensive technical and economic feasibility study in partnership with the Technology Development Support Center (CDT) of the University of (UnB), which chose the adoption of the model of public-private partnership by creating a Special Purpose Entity between TERRACAP and a private partner to be selected through public bidding process. Such Special Purpose Entity may explore, with exclusivity, for a period of up to 35 years, the full range of services to be made available for companies setting up in the park, such as: real estate business (lease, built to suit, built to suit and operate, co-location), condominium management, water and sewage, electricity, building maintenance and security, domestic transportation of personnel, operations in Information and Communication Technology (data communication network, ultra broadband internet, wireless broadband internet, enterprise telephony, videoconferencing, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), website hosting service, electronic mail, network support management, convenience services (food, fitness, banking, various shops, convention center and hotels), encouragement to technological innovation (participation in joint ventures, creation of investment fund of PTCD and allocation of risk capital) and promotion of cooperative interactions between institutions located in PTCD (participation in research and development, patenting and copyright management, incubation, creation of startups, etc.). From a strategic standpoint, the Digital Capital Technology Park is highly imperious for the Government of the Federal District, since it promotes a significant change in their development matrix, as it consolidates the economic vocation of the capital city of the country in generating high added-value products and services. Its main purpose is the business development of the Information and Communication Technology sector of the Federal District and in Brazil, and it will be developed in an environment of interaction between different actors that promote technological innovation, knowledge and research: State, academy and the productive sector. The PTCD will be built in an area of about 96 acres, which belongs to TERRACAP, and it is expected the attraction of more than 1,000 companies of all sizes, as well as the generation of about 25,000 direct jobs. From the turnover standpoint, the conducted economic feasibility studies show that deploying PTCD will boost the ICT segment in DF so that the country capital city will become the second market of the country in this economic segment, in addition to increase the participation of the sector in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In summary, the Digital Capital Technology Park is presented as an initiative of relevant social reach On 03/14/2013 the Invitation to Bid was published in the Official Gazette of the Federal District. Proposals received on 07/17/2013 are being analyzed. Interested parties should seek the winning consortium to begin negotiations for participation in the Digital Capital Technology Park.
