Presentation A Model of Success The company sprang from humble beginnings before emerging as the Internet leader it is today. In 1991, even before the dust had settled from the fall of the Berlin Wall, two Polish engineers from Warsaw University of Technology settled in France. Henryk and Haline Klaba brought with them their two sons, Octave and Miroslaw, who were graduating from a French engineering school. The family had little money but plenty of drive. A few years later, in 1999, both their sons Octave and Miroslaw start their engineer studies at the ICAM, in Lilles, France. By then, the Internet was booming and Octave decided to put his talent with computers to use. He recognized the roaring demand for hosting services and founded OVH.com. It didn t take long before OVH.com became a family venture, backed by their joint engineering prowess, the company rapidly took off. In 2005, OVH.com acquired a large piece of property in Northern France, which would house its corporate offices along with its principal data centers. The company quickly grows, and its profits are immediately reinvested into its activities. Octave Klaba * : Netcraft, December 2012 3

Presentation Global Scope Thirteen years later, OVH.com has earned its place as the #1 hosting provider - not only in France but in all of Europe - and the third largest hosting provider in the world. With an international customer base in 16 countries and a diverse and highly skilled global workforce of approximately 550 employees worldwide, OVH.com is leveraging its knowledge and experience with an international expansion plan. Those plans include subsidiaries on the European and African continents, including its most recent North American venture, which starts with BHS, the world s largest data center with a capacity of over 360,000 servers. It is located south of Montreal, in Beauharnois, Canada. Being a global leader in Internet providing does not stop OVH.com from staying close to its customers all across the world. Based on a strong local identity mixed with the practices and values that have contributed to its success, the company encourages each subsidiary to hire local talent in order to adapt to each market and assimilate its conditions and cultural context. As it strives to stay ahead of the latest technological innovations, OVH.com aggressively launches new offers to provide solutions to the ever-evolving technological challenges faced by its clients. The company maintains direct lines of communication with its customers in order to gain valuable feedback that is later used in the development of its products. OVH.com is therefore able to develop products and services that meet the global demands of its clients. Strengths & Strategic Advantages Vast and Reliable Network With such a grasp of the international market, OVH.com has built an infrastructure that can flawlessly provide first-class service to its customers no matter where in the world they are based. Having deployed its own fiber optic network gives OVH.com a unique advantage in the hosting provider market by allowing for a bandwidth of 2,000 Gbps in Europe and, in due time, 8,000 Gbps in North America. All this while connecting more than 33 peering points in three different continents and keeping 24/7/365 operational maintenance. Having this peering policy - that is, the arrangement of traffic exchange between Internet service providers (ISPs) - with multiple exchange points allows OVH.com to instantly transfer its traffic onto a partner s infrastructure in the event of a technical incident or traffic congestion. Its peering policy gives the Internet hosting company the possibility to connect directly with its customers Internet service providers, resulting in low latency when accessing content hosted within OVH. com s infrastructure. And, more importantly for customers, the 2,000 Gbps guarantees quick loading of every web page delivered through OVH.com s network. For added security, the company also built a completely redundant global network with multiple security loops eliminating the risk of potential malfunction without disrupting the performance level of the infrastructure. Strengths & Strategic Advantages Cutting-Edge Technology Innovation is inscribed into OVH.com s very DNA. The company maintains its focus on technologies that will improve its chances of discovering, developing and producing faster. This leads the company to offering the latest technologies available to its customers, for example by installing the most powerful processors in its servers. OVH.com maintains complete control over the product lifecycle management: from the assembly of its own servers to the design and maintenance of data centers around the world. This allows OVH.com to provide seamless customer service and dedicated server solutions that combine flexibility with total control at a competitive price. OVH.com Assembly Line 6

Strengths & Strategic Advantages Dedicated Servers OVH.com s wide range of products meets the needs of the most demanding companies. Clients from across the world are swayed by the ease with which ovh s dedicated servers are deployed, its follow-up options and its many dedicated server related services. For the benefit of their growth, professional users always enjoy high-performance tools for the best prices. Cloud Computing Services Several dozens of millions of dollars of investment and thousands of servers have been put forward to developing and serving OVH s Cloud. Few companies have the technical expertise required to ensure the success of the whole product lifecycle management while offering the most efficient technologies in terms of infrastructure. OVH does. This is how it has defined itself as a major player in the Cloud Computing and the virtualization markets. All professionals now have reliable and secure solutions that perfectly accommodate their structural needs. OVH combines readily available resources, maximum availability for equipment and truly adaptable infrastructures. With its Cloud Computing, OVH designs what will be the future of Internet hosting. Strengths & Strategic Advantages Customer Support Always at your service is more than just a catchphrase, it s a commitment. OVH.com manages its technical and commercial support lines with its own in-house staff. Available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, they can be contacted via phone, chat, email or mail. OVH trains its own experts so that any commercial or technical question may find an answer at any time of the day. Support is divided into three competence categories, and covers effective minor problem solving, issues that the require intervention of a specialist, up to dedicated server maintenance directly in the data center. OVH.com considers that successfully supporting an Internet hosting network of 130,000 servers across three different continents must include impeccable levels of service. 24/7/365 Technical Support Support available 24/7/365 8

Strengths & Strategic Advantages Green Solutions Constant efforts from R&D have considerably lessened OVH.com s environmental impact along the years. In 2004, OVH.com created and developed an exclusive liquid cooling system for its servers. By dissipating 70% of the heat produced by the processor, this technique made it possible for the Internet hosting company to cut its energy costs in half. This allows a smaller amount of air conditioning or even a simple ventilation system to then expel the remaining 30% of the heat. Continuous efforts to reduce the energy consumption of its data centers keep paying off. OVH. com facilities have a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratio between 1 and 1.2. Simply put, for a 100-watt server to work, OVH.com uses between 100 and 120 watt, thus using twice as less energy than the average data center. Lower energy consumption is kinder on the environment, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint, and lower costs, resulting in better rates for customers. The company s dedication to environmentally friendly practices doesn t stop there. OVH.com has continued to improve the air conditioning systems used to cool its server rooms, until it completely abolished air conditioning in RBX 4, in 2011. In this latest generation data center, air conditioning has indeed been replaced by a green and innovative ventilation system, the result of many years of research and development. Its performances are optimal, and its environment impact very limited. The BHS data center, built in 2012, was constructed with the same technology but on a greater scale and represents the quintessence of all these years of research. Watercooling 9

Strengths & Strategic Advantages Autonomous Development The company remains independently owned, and has developed without bank loans, financing or help from the government and chooses to reinvest all its profits in itself in order to advance more quickly while offering lower cost solutions than its competitors. Still operating on the same family principles from which it was built from the ground up, OVH.com offers an unsurpassed standard for conducting business as well as an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
