Web based online training is not an initiative, but rather is a process which enables workers to demonstrate basic site safety awareness through a visible knowledge check system. This enables the Suncor designate to verify successful completion of required training prior to accessing site. 1.2 Scope This process applies to all Suncor contractors accessing or performing work at our Suncor In Situ operating sites (Firebag & MacKay River). 2.0 IN SITU ONLINE WEB BASED AWARENESS TRAINING PROCESS 2.1 Introduction The objectives of the new In Situ online training process are as follows: Reduce safety risks of exposing new site workers to operating site risks (accessing site before taking the orientation and required awareness training) Ensure on demand electronic access for contractors to online awareness courses and associated knowledge check Clearly define and document what the online training process is, as well as the roles and responsibilities of process stakeholders Improve worker productivity by eliminating site time spent completing required Suncor awareness training

2.2 Successfully completing required Online Training In order to access our web based training, contractors must successfully complete the following steps: Contractor Process: Open web browser and type www.suncor.com. 1. Click on the Contractors link in the top right hand corner of the website. 2. Click Existing Contractors 3. Click Contractor orientation 4. Follow the instructions listed on the page (steps 1-4) and review the Environmental Health & Safety Training Requirements standard (IN-CM-TRN-ST-1) to determine which web based awareness courses you are required to complete prior to accessing site. All questions regarding the standard/requirements are to be directed to the Suncor Contractor Onboarding Coordinator or Vendor representative. Please note all contractors accessing site are required to complete the site orientation in addition to additional courses defined within the standard above. The standard is available on the same web page as this document. 5. Click the online portal embedded link in step 4 above, this will launch the orientation and awareness training portal.

6. At this time, you will be launched into the online training portal. All current, valid Suncor qualifications will be recognized. Those workers that have not been on-site for at least 12 months are encouraged to retake the online courses to ensure they are aware of basic site safety protocol. 2.4 Adherence to other Standards 1. The online web based training process is in place to ensure those workers accessing site are aware of certain hazards upon entering into the secure site area.
