The name in TEAL must match the name in ECOS, which should match the picture ID. Educators must request access to ECOS for Educators. Entity users must request access to ECOS for Entities. 3 1
Applying for Certification After establishing a TEAL account, educators must create or update an ECOS profile. ECOS is where educators and entities: Apply for Certificates and Permits Check the Status of a Certificate or Permit View Examinations Taken View and Print a Copy of a Certificate or Permit TEA no longer prints or mails certificates. 4 Certification Required Texas Education Code Section 21.003 CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Some CTE certificates require prior wage-earning experience and licensure. Educational Aides TAC Chapter 230, Subchapter E - An individual employed in a Texas school district as an educational aide must be certified by the SBEC. Educational Aide I, II, or III based on qualifications and duties of the position Aide applies online and is recommended by the employing school district.
