Communication 450 Mhz - CDMA A private mobile network for Utilities & partnership with Alliander KPN s core competences Extensive experience in the deployment of complex (mobile) networks Re-use of existing sites Proven project approach and methodology, strong quality checks High quality standards and fast commissioning gives the maximum guarantee for the timely connection of a great number of Smart Meters Current status of solution Vendors for network hardware and supporting IT systems (OSS and BSS) selected in January. Project started to build the test and acceptance environment in H1. The test will be finalized in June. Roll out of mast/sites is started and will be finished in H1. Roll out of the CDMA network for Alliander Service area is planed for H2. Recap and Conclusions Recap The energy market is undergoing a fundamental transformation in which ICT is the central, facilitating and unifying factor. KPN is well positioned to support this fundamental transformation and has a strong focus on Communication, Security and Big Data. Utilities and Telcos should not only be focussed on their customer supplier relationship but they also can learn from each other experiences. To meet the requirements of critical utility environments Utilities and Telcos must co-operate and co-create on the development of new ICT-Services and introducing new business models 12 EUTC 19 March 2014 - Brussels
