2 New Users 2.1 How to setup your security profile It's important never to reveal your security details to anyone else and, for additional security, you will be required to change your password on a regular basis. If you suspect someone has seen or knows your security details (i.e. User Account ID, Password and Passphrase), you should reset your details immediately. It is important that only you can access the online service, therefore, it is always recommended that if you leave your PC unattended you lock your PC, and when you have finished using the online service you close down your Internet browser. If at any time further assistance is required please call the Experian Service Support desk on +44 (0) 115 9344 444, quoting reference IDM. Experian 2013 Page 4 of 17

To access your WASP protected Experian product it is necessary for you to first register a profile in Experian s Self Service facility. When your account was created, you should have received three emails from Experian. The first email contains the Account User ID you will use to logon with, as illustrated in Fig. 1 Fig.1 New Account User ID email Experian 2013 Page 5 of 17

The second email provides a time limited registration link, an example is shown in Fig.2 below: Fig. 2 Profile registration link. Experian 2013 Page 6 of 17

Clicking the registration link will take you directly through to the profile registration screen as shown in Fig. 3 below: Fig.3 Profile registration screen Here you can choose your WASP password and passphrase. A note on Password Complexity Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters long, up to a maximum of 32 characters. Passwords must contain characters from three of the following four categories: Lowercase characters Uppercase characters Numerical digits (0 to 9) Special characters except & + The passphrase can contain only alpha numeric characters and must be between 8 and 12 characters in length. Experian 2013 Page 7 of 17

Also, in case you may forget these credentials in the future; you will need to select three security Questions and Answers. These can be used when going through a self-service forgot/reset password process flow, detailed later in this guide. After you have successfully saved your profile you will see a screen to that effect. Fig.4 Profile successfully updated Experian 2013 Page 8 of 17

The third email you should receive is the Product Assignment email. This confirms that once you have registered your profile, your Experian Product access is in place and ready to use. Note, the wording in this email may vary depending on the product you have been assigned. Fig. 5 Product Assignment email If at any time further assistance is required please call the Experian Service Support desk on +44 (0) 115 9344 444, quoting reference IDM. 2.2 Re-registration As mentioned previously the link inside the registration email is time limited. That means it can only be used once and furthermore it expires after 10 minutes. If you click this link after the link has expired you will be offered the chance to enter your User Account ID and email address to re-send a new registration link. Fig. 6 Re-register. Experian 2013 Page 9 of 17

3 How to Change your Password In order to change your password, you can follow the I want to change my password link on the Logon Page. Fig.7 Change Password link Experian 2013 Page 10 of 17

There you will be presented with a screen that requires you to enter your User Account ID, current password and the new password (twice for confirmation) Fig.8 Change Password Note that a password history is maintained and you will not be able to re-use one of your last 13 passwords. If at any time further assistance is required please call the Experian Service Support desk on +44 (0) 115 9344 444, quoting reference IDM. Experian 2013 Page 11 of 17

If the details provided are valid and match what we stored against your account you will be sent a registration email and be able to setup a profile using the process described in Section 2.1 of this guide. Should you have any difficulty setting up your new profile you can call the Experian Service Support Desk who will assist you in setting up the profile against your existing account and email address.
