Jacobs Hall Case Study UC BERKELEY SCOPE OF PROJECT The Sungevity Commercial team was commissioned to develop the first campus solar project on Jacobs Hall, part of the School of Engineering and the university s new home for design innovation. The system which is just over 80 kw is expected to produce approximately 2.3 million kwh of energy, which will reduce the building s carbon emissions by about 597 tons. This installation is particularly unique, using a new type of panel made by Sunpreme. These panels are bi-facial and translucent, which allows for absorption from both direct and refracted light. Additionally, they are frameless which presents the illusion of floating, adding to the building s modern design. Jacobs Hall contains dedicated space for everything from student exhibits to design studios to workshops. Each semester, as many as 800 students will take classes or participate in other activities in the building. Seeing solar in action is just one of the ways UC Berkeley and Sungevity are working together to build a brighter future. BENEFITS 114,000 kwh produced in the first year, equivalent to powering 7.5 homes. $408,000 approximately how much Jacob s Hall will save over the next 20 years. 2.3 million kwh how much Jacob s Hall is expected to produce which is equivalent to powering 237 homes for one year. 1,871,638 less auto carbon emission which is equivalent to 20,156 tree seedlings grown for 10 years. PROJECT OVERVIEW Location: Berkeley, CA Completed: September 2015 Installation Type: Roof mount with trellis System size: 81 kw Number of Panels: 286 modules Products: Trina, Sunpreme bi-facial Inverter: SMA Tri-Power Finance Product: Cash

Hyde Printing Case Study CONCORD, CA I expect to break even on my utility bill at the end of the year. Patrick Hyde, Proprietor SCOPE OF PROJECT This commercial project was born out of a success story on the residential side of the Sungevity business. After reducing his utility bill almost entirely at his home, Hyde Printing owner, Patrick Hyde, took the initiative to see what he could save at his business. Patrick Hyde s commercial system produced over 30,000 kwh of energy in the first year alone. With this projected, sustained output, Mr. Hyde will be able to cover the cost of his system in approximately 5 years. Installing solar also gave him a new perspective on his company s overall energy use which helped identify areas for more savings. Asked about the installation process, Patrick responded, The installation was excellent. The crew was very mindful of the hours that we worked. They were willing to come at night so as not to interrupt business. Everything went smoothly. Going solar has been fantastic for my business. I m making a monthly payment that is about 30% of what my utility bill was. In 5 years, the system will be paid off. I m a really happy customer. BENEFITS 30,000 kwh produced in the first year, equivalent to powering 2 homes. $150,000 will save Hyde Printing over the next 25 years. 750,000 kwh Hyde Printing is expected to produce in this time. 1,231,341 less auto carbon emission which is equivalent to 13,261 tree seedlings grown for 10 years. PROJECT OVERVIEW Location: Concord, CA Completed: November 2014 Installation Type: Rooftop System size: 20 kw Number of Panels: 80 panels Products: Hyundai Inverter: ABB Finance Product: Cash

Blake s Auto Body Case Study SANTA ROSA, CA The installers were respectful of my property and of my time. Blake Andros, Owner SCOPE OF PROJECT Blake Andros, owner of Blake s Auto Body in Santa Rosa, CA, is a solar pioneer. He installed solar on his first property in 1999. Blake understands that solar is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to generate clean energy while saving money for his business. He was introduced to Sungevity through a close family friend who works at the company. Throughout the sales process, everyone was friendly and professional and made everything very easy for me. Sungevity installers engineered a rooftop ballast that weighs down the solar system rather than drilling and attaching to rails. Mr. Andros also took advantage of PG&E s new NEMA program which allows customers to offset the meter of an adjacent building. Sungevity s local preferred installers executed a quick and professional project. From first site visit to completed and installed system took a total of 6 weeks. BENEFITS 70,000 kwh produced in the first year, equivalent to powering 4.4 homes. $150,000 will save Hyde Printing over the next 25 years. 1,555,000 kwh Blake s Auto Body is expected to produce in this time. 2,298,503 less car miles driven which is equivalent to 40,639 tree seedlings grown for 10 years. Good crew. Good communication. No complaints. claims Mr. Andros. PROJECT OVERVIEW Location: Santa Rosa, CA Completed: July 2015 Installation Type: Rooftop Ballast System size: 50.7 kw Number of Panels: 195 modules Products: Trina 260 Inverter: Fronius - 4 inverters Finance Product: Cash
