South Texas College Associate Degree Nursing Program ELSEVIER HESI Admission Assessment (A2) Test The Admission Assessment (A² ) is a computer based, proctored, standardized assessment and must be taken as part of the application criteria prior to applying to the Associated Degree Nursing Program. The A² results are used to assess the academic and personal readiness of prospective students for higher education. TO REGISTER & PAY FOR THE ADMISSION ASSESSMENT (A2) VERSION I EXAM: 1. Simply log-in to nah.southtexascollege.edu 2. Under Program Resources click on Associate Degree Nursing 3. Click on ADMISSION ASSESSMENT A2 Test (HESI Admission) Please read all the following seven pages of instructions carefully and then follow the link at https://evolve.elsevier.com (on page 3) to create your Evolve account,register, and pay for your exam or to simply view test date availability. Once you register through OUR website, you will receive your email Confirmation Notice with your User Name and Password. You will receive your Eligibility ID # within 1-3 business days of Elsevier s receipt of your request. You will then be able to Log In and will be prompted to enter the following Department ID SOUTH TEXAS COLLEGE-A.D.N. DISTANCE DEPARTMENT ID: 199821 (valid thru 08/31/2015) Students must make a minimum score of 75% on each graded test sections of (Math, English, and Science) and a cumulative score of 75% or higher in order to pass the test. There are six (6) tests total to complete: under the Science section, only Anatomy & Physiology section is to be completed. The Learner Profile section is required but not graded (personality type and learner style) and is used for diagnostic purposes. Students must log in through the website at https://evolve.elsevier.com to register for the A2 exam (Version I or Version 2) or simply view all testing dates and locations available. If you are ready to schedule and pay for your exam, you may proceed to follow the prompts and complete the process. Test scores are available immediately upon completion on the date of testing and are valid for only two (2) years. Students can repeat the test ONLY if they score under 75% on a required test section and must repeat that section within the same eligibility period as the first exam. You must wait 2-3 weeks from the first exam date to register for VERSION 2 Admission Assessment test. Scores on both Version 1 (V1) and Version 2 (V2) may be combined within the same eligibility period only.
