1. Presentation 1.1. Purpose of the fact sheet Services are available to professional users who would like to use the tax administration s e- procedures. Users may do their e-procedures either directly on the Internet (EFI, digitized forms exchange, transmission mode) or through a partner who transmits files to the tax administration (EDI, digitized data exchange, transmission mode). Users who would like to use Internet services (EFI mode) first have to set up a subscriber account. They may opt for a subscriber account with a digital certificate (access requiring a certificate), or without a certificate 1 (access requiring an email address and password). This document presents the sequence of screens for the procedure to create a subscriber account with a certificate. 1.2. Who is this procedure for? The procedure is for professional users who do not have a subscriber account and who would like to create one where access requires a digital certificate. 1.3. Scope of the procedure For each user involved in the management of a business, creating a subscriber account is a pre-requisite to registration for online services and to the appointment of corporate representatives. If you are a management firm, or if you are handling tax procedures for several businesses, you may create only one subscriber account. You can manage all the businesses in your client portfolio from this one account. Regardless of the access mode you have chosen for the subscriber account (i.e. with or without a certificate), the e-procedures in the subscriber account are available in the exact same conditions. A digital certificate can only be linked to one subscriber account with a certificate. Once you ve completed the procedure, your subscriber account with a certificate will not have any files or services. 1.4 Steps to follow This is a two-step procedure: - Subscriber account creation: you fill out the information required to create your subscriber account. 1.5. Prerequisite A valid digital certificate has to be installed on your Internet navigator. A certification authority that has been approved for tax e-procedures 2 can provide the digital certificate. 2. Creation of a subscriber account with a digital certificate on http://impots.gouv.fr Click on Professionnels Choose either one Click on Créez votre espace abonné [Create your subscriber account] Under the Création d espace abonné avec certificat [Creating a subscriber account with a certificate] heading, click on Créer votre espace abonné avec certificat [Create your subscriber account with a certificate] The first screen lists the three steps required for creating a subscriber account with a certificate. This is where you begin the procedure: Check the box Je reconnais avoir pris connaissance des conditions générales et les accepte sans restriction [I hereby agree to and accept the general terms and conditions] Now click on Valider [Agree] The area where your browser stores your certificates comes on screen. If you have several certificates on your web browser, select the one that will be linked to your subscriber account: Choose the appropriate certificate then click on OK Some browsers will display the following window (message content may vary) 2 The list of approved certification authorities can be found at http://www.industrie.gouv.fr/tic/certificats/ 4/7

Click on OK. You must enter the requisite information for creating your account: the fields with an * are mandatory. More details can be found on the following pages. Close-up on the top part of the registration form: Complete the relevant particulars about you and your business. Your Business: Please enter your business s SIREN number. Providing the SIREN number does not mean that you have taken out a registration 3 online services on behalf of your company. for Close-up on the lower part of the registration form: Enter your phone number, email address and postal address. Choose the three secret questions required for creating an account with a certificate and enter the appropriate answers. What is your nickname? is the first default question on the list for all three questions. You may change the question by scrolling down and clicking on the question of your choice: Useful tip: Mix up the questions; this will help you remember the answers. Carefully choose your secret questions & answers. You will be asked to answer them during special operations involving your subscriber account (i.e. change of certificate, switch from a digital certificate access to an email & password access). Click on Valider [OK] once you have filled out all the mandatory fields with the requisite information. You may either go back to the previous step and change your information, or confirm your registration. Click on Confirmer [Confirm] If you are blocked on the above page after you ve clicked on Valider, the creation of your subscriber account has failed. Please check if the option Block pop-up windows on your web browser is activated: If so, you will have to add the website of the tax administration (chain of characters *.impots.gouv.fr ) to the list of authorised websites. Then close all the pages of the browser and start again from 3 If not, call the helpline or email the help services (see 4) A page confirming the successful creation of your subscriber account comes up: You will be given your membership number End of Step 1: your subscriber account with a certificate has now been created. You can now access your account and file service registration requests OR you can send your membership number to the holder of the service that you would like to comanage, so that the said holder can appoint you as deputy or representative. First save the relevant information of your subscriber account with a certificate (Step 3): it is required for special operations (i.e. opting for an access without a certificate, changing certificates). 3. Save the file and print it out for your records, if needed. The relevant information about your subscriber account is essential for some operations (i.e. if you lose or want to change your certificate). It is also required at all times by the link Gérer vos coordonnées (managing your information) in the manager menu of your subscriber account. End of the procedure 4.
