esign Borrower Experience Below is a step-by-step synopsis of the borrower experience during the esign process. Borrower receives greeting message from docs@primelending.com with a Doc Link. Note: This is where the borrower(s) can access the HUD Settlement Costs Booklet and CHARM booklet. 1
Borrower clicks on the Doc Link. The Welcome to PrimeLending, A PlainsCapital Company s Document Room screen displays, including the expiration date and time that they have to consent to receive electronic disclosures. If they don t consent and the link expires, a copy is mailed from the DocuTech Fulfillment Center. Borrower clicks the Next button. The Confirm Your Identity screen appears. Borrower should enter the Subject Property State (Abbreviation), Borrower Last Name and Borrower Social Security Number (Last 4 Digits). The borrower last name and SSN is for the borrower that is esigning. Note: All fields are borrower-specific to the individual completing the esign process. 2
Borrower clicks Confirm Identity after completing required fields. The Welcome <Borrower Name> page of the esign portal appears. Borrower clicks Next. The Consent to Receive Electronic Disclosures page appears. Borrower is presented with the option to consent to receive disclosures electronically or to permanently opt-out requiring paper fulfillment for the current and all future disclosure orders. 3
Borrower clicks I Consent. The Review Documents screen appears. Borrower clicks Review Documents and a popup window opens with the documents for their review. 4
In order to proceed, the borrower will need to review each document by moving the scroll bar down until the OK button appears. Borrower clicks OK. The esign Documents page appears. They should click esign Documents to begin the actual electronic signature process. 5
Since the borrower has previously completed the document review, they are only completing the esignature process here. They should click Click to Sign in each place indicated. It will automatically take them to the next place to sign. After the borrower has electronically signed each required document, the Submit Signatures window will appear confirming the documents they have electronically signed. The borrower must click Submit to move forward. 6
A message will appear while DocuTech processes their electronic signature. Note: It is very important borrowers let the screen complete and finish the esign process before closing their browser. Processing times can vary but normally does not exceed 60 seconds. Once DocuTech has finished processing the electronic signatures, the borrower is returned to the esign portal to the Documents That Can Not Be esigned page. The borrower should click Print to print and sign all documents currently unavailable for electronic signature. After the borrower has printed the disclosures, they will be able to click Next, which will complete their esign process. Note: Loan officers should instruct their borrowers where to return these documents. 7
A message will be presented to the borrower letting them know how long the electronic signing room will be available. Note: Borrowers will have the option to print or save a copy of all documents for their records. 8
