Page 5 Case Studies Our services create value in all aspects of business. See how we've helped our clients to overcome challenges and achieve their desired results. Coaching solutions for a solo-entrepreneur. Client: A recently downsized business professional became a solo-entrepreneur with three very different business endeavors (Photography, Greeting Card Creation and Baked Goods). Situation: Client wanted to launch her baked goods business and needed assistance getting the business off the ground. Challenge: Client found it difficult separating the responsibilities of each business and found it difficult to avoid some of the unpredictable responsibilities on one business that interfered with the completion of tasks for the other businesses. Client experienced difficulty juggling responsibilities for all three businesses and family responsibilities. Unanticipated photography customer needs often interfered with responsibilities for the baked goods business. TLL HRC s Solution: Planning, goal setting and accountability. A sounding board to keep the client focused and able to complete each goal. The participants were first taught the importance of developing a range of behavioral competencies that directly impacted the executive key professional skills. Through assessment, specific behavioral items were located that were decided to be strengthened. A development plan was then created for each participant. Each person's coach was selected on the basis of their expertise in the participant s behavioral areas to be developed. Regular 1-to-1 weekly coaching sessions were conducted over a period of 12 months where the client shared progress, challenges and experiences. Worked with client to create a business plan, marketing plan and stakeholder map. These documents help the client to better organize the action steps she needed to complete for the success of her businesses. Result: Increased behavioral competencies were witnessed. Client three business endeavors were all launched as scheduled and earned 30% more than projected. In difficult market conditions the client demonstrated a 400% improvement in productivity and time management. This significant increase in productivity and time management led to an average increase in sales of 25-30% for the baked goods and photography business. There were also significant decreases in stress with a marked improvement in life satisfaction.

Page 6 Recruiting solutions for a leisure travel service company. Client: A global provider of leisure travel services to businesses and consumers; the worldwide leader in vacation exchange and in business for about 35 years with 4,000+ employees worldwide. Situation: The client decided to relocate their Global Revenue Management & Analytics team from Indianapolis to New Jersey. The GRM&A team is responsible for inventory management, pricing, exchange program management, balancing inventory across systems, valuations, trading power maintenance and consumer and inventory analytics. Relocating the team resulted in 40 vacant exempt openings ranging from analyst to director level. Challenge: The recruiting efforts started in October with a January deadline. Most qualified candidates were employed in bonus eligible roles that required them to remain in their position until the end of the year or later, otherwise they would forfeit their bonus. The GRM&A management team traveled a lot and was in the process of relocating from Indianapolis to New Jersey. This made their availability very limited which made it difficult to schedule candidate interviews. The client also launched the use of a new applicant tracking system, Taleo, to keep track of all openings that the human resource team received minimal training. TLL HRC s Solution: Multiple sources were used to identify qualified mathematicians, statisticians, economist and financial candidates. By partnering with the client s human resource, revenue management and senior management team, the consultant created a recruiting process that allowed her to identify and schedule a large number of candidates of varied skills for all open requisitions. To address the limited availability of management s schedule, the management team agreed to block out dates on their calendar for all day candidate interviews. Pre-screened candidates were scheduled for faceto-face interviews with multiple team members. During pre-scheduled debriefing meetings, the teams me to share feedback, make offer decisions and to decide which team was most appropriate for the new employee. Result: TLL Human Resource Consulting, Inc. s full-time Recruiting Consultant helped the client to successfully achieve its goal within their budget. Because of our success, the Recruiting Consultant was asked to return provide high volume recruiting in response to growth and staff transitioning. And, at the end of the first year, only one member of the team left the organization. By the second year, many of the candidate s hired in the first year received a promotion.

Page 7 Workshop Facilitation solutions for a corporate client who honors diversity. Client: One of the top ten financial services companies in the United States with assets totaling $547 billion as of March 31, 2009. The company s businesses serve customers in the following key areas: personal financial services, credit cards, specialty insurance products, commercial banking, private banking, and global banking and markets. Situation: Client has several employee networks throughout its organization that support their diversity efforts. These groups facilitate open discussion of workplace issues for diverse employees and foster an environment that celebrates diversity. These groups also assist with recruiting and promote professional development of their diverse employees through industry networking and mentoring programs. Challenge: Client need workshops that promote the professional development of their diverse employees. TLL HRC s Solution: TLL Human Resource Consulting, Inc. presented Networking and Self-empowerment for Personal Growth workshop for members of the client s affinity groups created to address their diversity issues. The client coordinated the logistics and invitations for the workshop, while TLL Human Resource Consulting, Inc. facilitated the session itself. Result: The two hour workshop sought to enhance participants understanding of what it takes to grow within the organization while providing a forum for discussion and an opportunity for networking with other business leaders. The workshop was facilitated by one individual: Tarona L. Lee: A human resource professional who committed her professional expertise to the preparation and inspiration of aspiring leaders. She is a veteran corporate recruiter who is effective in one-on-one and group learning scenarios, working primarily with adult learners interested in achieving professional success. The workshop attracted 79 non-exempt and exempt employees from varied departments of the business. Due to the very positive feedback from the employees, the client invited us back for additional presentations.
