Description WPS can be used to manipulate and visualize data in any way you choose. This powerful tool will help you maximize data processing efficiency, with facilities for sub-setting and merging a wide range of data sources. It allows you to concisely summarize data, such as frequency counts and cross-tabulation tables. You can use it to compute a variety of descriptive statistics, including the mean, range, sum, variance, standard deviation, and more. Use it to compute correlations and other measures of association, as well as cross-tabulations. WPS is a reporting application specifically for the mainframe platform that leverages open systems technology. WPS runs under z/os. Mainframe WPS comprises the same software that runs on the distributed environment allowing you to integrate across platforms in a seamless way. For example, programs can be written, edited, and tested in the Eclipse-based end-user development environment before being transferred to the mainframe for final execution. As a mainframe application, WPS integrates with open technology databases. It also supports common database standards such as SQL, ODBC, and JDBC, guaranteeing users maximum compatibility and choice.
