Lesson 25: Computer Savvy Hi! How are you today? Today s lesson is about Computer Savvy. Let s make learning English fun! Exercise 2 Dialogue Practice (Diálogo) Directions: Read the dialogue aloud with your teacher. (Instruções: Leia o diálogo em voz alta com o professor.) Alex and Tony are talking about computers. Alex: What course did you take in college? Tony: I took Information Technology because I love using the computer. Alex: I think so, too. I noticed that you spend most of your time in front of the computer. If you don t mind, what do you usually do when you use it? Tony: I usually surf the internet to gather information for my research study. I also use Skype to communicate with my family in Canada. And of course, I use the computer to make contact with my acquaintances via email. Alex: Do you know how to fix computer problems, too? Tony: Yes, I do. Alex: Can you do me a favor? I d like you to check my laptop. It becomes really slow sometimes. Tony: Let me check...i see! You need to upgrade the processor. Alex: Well, I have little knowledge when it comes to computers. Can you do it for me? Tony: Sure!...Done! Alex: Wow, you re so fast! You really are computer savvy. Thank you so much, Tony. Tony: I m happy to help you. 2
