4. Configure your connection manager Once the application has been started, the files required for the creation of a customised connection manager are first loaded into memory, and then the connection manager configuration screen appears The settings you can configure are grouped by category The menu on the left provides direct access to each group of settings 6

4.1 Kit Type 4G/3G+ and WiFi Configuration: Select «4G/3G+ /EE WiFi + Partner WiFi» when configuring the connection manager kit for mobile broadband networks as well as EE and partner Wi-Fi networks Select «4G/3G+ /EE WiFi» when configuring the connection manager kit for mobile broadband networks as well as EE Wi-Fi networks Select «4G/3G+ Only» when configuring the connection manager kit for mobile broadband networks only 7

4.1 Kit Type Continued... Connection type Select «Internet» to create a connection manager kit that is not required to manage intranet/vpn settings Select «Internet and Intranet» to manage both Internet and Intranet connections. This activates the Secured networks option to allow the configuration of VPN and private APN settings as required Select «Intranet» to manage Intranet-only connections (i.e. non-secure Internet connections are not permitted.) Again, this activates the Secured networks option to allow the configuration of VPN and private APN settings as required 8

4.2 Help window The Help option allows you to completely customise and format the information that is displayed when the end user selects Help from their Business Everywhere connection manager. Please do not delete the MSISDN field as this will populate and display the telephone number for the user s device and may be asked for by your EE support advisor. > > 9

4.3 Secured networks New configuration - intranet profiles You can create more than one intranet profiles using the «+» tab. This allows you to configure settings for several corporate network profiles using Virtual Private Networks, dedicated APNs, or a combination of both You must assign a name for each intranet profile that you create. (This is the name that will be displayed on the Business Everywhere dashboard when the user is connected to that network.) You can duplicate or delete an intranet profile using the «Duplicate» or «Delete» buttons > 10

4.3 Secured networks CONTINUED... 4.3 Secured networks CONTINUED... If already connected to the Intranet, selecting Internet will close down the VPN client automatically Select intranet Surf Switch to internet 13

4.3 Secured networks CONTINUED... Intranet Target Programming an Intranet Target allows the connection manager to determine whether the PC has confirmed access to your intranet. This is an optional setting and may be activated by using the Intranet Target button in the intranet profile tab This option allows you to confirm an intranet connection by using a ping against a known and readily available IP address (IPv4 or IPv6 format) on your private network, or by resolving a URL on your corporate DNS server If you choose not to activate this function, the connection manager will not be able to display precise information on the status of the connection to the corporate network (however the «VPN launched» connection status will be displayed) You can also choose to split the volume of ping or DNS test requests across several IP or URL addresses by generating different connection manager kit profiles 14

4.3 Secured networks CONTINUED... Dedicated APN You can activate and setup a dedicated APN for each intranet profile, using the Dedicated APN option in the intranet profile tab. A dedicated APN must have a name in order to be reachable A login and a password can be set for this dedicated APN, or the user can enter their own credentials at each connection You can define a corporate proxy to be used for this dedicated APN connection Finally, you can activate a private VPN connection over the dedicated APN connection, in order to further secure the data connection. Select Activate private VPN and enter the command lines for VPN Launch and Stop in the fields indicated You can assign corporate DNS servers to be used for this dedicated APN connection 15

4.4 Thesholds & Alerts Thresholds and alerts can be set for either data volume used in MB, or for connection duration, for both mobile broadband and Partner WiFi connections. The user will be warned when 80% and then 100% of the defined threshold is attained. (Please note there are no thresholds on EE WiFi connections. Mobile broadband plans are data volume based.) National and international 4G/3G+ connections: wwwpartner WiFi connections: Define the alert threshold in terms of minutes of total connection time to Partner Hotspots Select «No threshold» if you do not wish to have user alerts for Partner WiFi You can choose the day of the month on which all usage counters are reset to zero. Define your user alert threshold in terms of MB of total data volume exchanged (based on your company policy or current EE data plan) Select «No threshold» if you do not wish to have user alerts 16

5. Save a configuration profile Use the «Save configuration» button to save all changes to the current Administration Tool configuration. This makes it easy to re-use these settings for future versions of the connection manager kit. The settings are saved in *.itm format. > > 17

6. Load a configuration profile Once your configuration profile has been saved in *.itm format, it is possible to re-use the file as desired. 8. Silent installation / uninstallation This is available only on Windows For silent installation of the connection manager, use the following command line in an MS-DOS window: msiexec /I <file_path>\bew20installer.msi /qn In Windows 7, you will need to open the MS-DOS window in Administrator Each workstation user must accept the end-user licence agreement For a silent uninstallation, use the following command line in an MS- DOS window: msiexec /x <file_path>\ BEW20Installer.msi /qn If the end-user license agreement is not displayed and accepted as part of the silent installation, a window showing the licence agreement will be displayed when the user launches the connection manager If the user declines the licence agreement, the connection manager will not launch. The license agreement will be displayed again when the connection manager is next launched 20
