2015 ALL-STAR CAMP The All-Star Camp returns to the Olympic Training Center incolorado Springs, CO for its 2015 edition. A total of 64 athletes will be invited, by their Zone, to the All-Star camp. This year the camp will be coached by National Team Coaches from the Senior, Junior, 13-15 and 12&Under National Teams. Gymnastics Coach, Fred Pasqualin, will also be attending this camp as a guest clinician. You and your athletes will not want to miss this great opportunity! The National Team coaches will provide valuable coaching tips to the athletes and coaches on figure training. Land Training will focus on flexibility and basic conditioning for National Team trials. Athlete Registration: $400 per athlete * $450 for registration past the deadline. NATIONAL TEAM COACHES BIOGRAPHY MYRIAM GLEZ SENIOR HEAD COACH Myriam has been USA Synchro s High Performance Director since 2013 and the Senior National Team Head Coach since September 2014. She was a consultant with the Great Britain Olympic Team from 2010 to 2012 and was Head Coach of the English Development Teams at the same time. Myriam has coached Synchronized Swimming in clubs in France, England and Australia. She was the founder of the Sydney Emeralds Synchro Club. As an athlete, Myriam was a member of the French National Team for 10 years and the Australian National Team for 2 years. She swam in 2 Olympics for France in 2000 and for Australia in 2008. She finished fourth in Team at the Sydney Olympics and 2 nd at the European Championships in 1999. Myriam is also a Pilates instructor and has extensive knowledge of Land training. Aside from Synchronized Swimming, Myriam went to Business School and has a Masters in Business. She worked in Marketing and Sponsorships as an executive for 8 years. STEPHAN MIERMONT SENIOR/JUNIOR TEAM COACH Stephan was the first male synchronized swimmer in France. He won several National Champion titles with his partner Anne Capron. He moved to the USA 20 years ago and coached for the Santa Clara Aquamaids. In 1997, Stephan joined Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas and became one of the original cast members and main performer in the Cirque du Soleil show O. Since 2003, he has worked in the entertainment industry all around the world and choreographed and directed several shows for Dragone, the Silverton Hotel, Kylie Minogue, the Hotel Beau Rivage, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel Stephan coached the 2008 USA Olympic Team from 2006 to 2008 with Tammy McGregor. Since 2008, he has choreographed numerous routines for the top synchro countries in the world: France, Japan, Czech, Brazil, Italy, China, England and the USA. Stephan is the most renowned Synchronized Swimming choreographer in the world. Stephan has a Masters degree in Marketing from a French Business School. He is a certified Synchronized Swimming Coach and a Pilates Instructor. 2015 All-Star Camp 4
LOLLI MONTICO JUNIOR HEAD COACH Lolli is currently the Assistant Coach for the USA Senior National Team and Head Coach for the USA Junior National Team. She has over 30 years of coaching experience in Synchronized Swimming. She coached the Great Britain Olympic Team from 2007 to 2014, helping them rise from Top 20 to Top 8 in the World. Prior to this, Lolli coached the Italian National Teams at all levels, 13-15 to the Senior National Team. She participated in the 2004 Olympics with Italy, the 2008 and the 2012 Olympics with England. Lolli also coached the Bronze Medal soloist from Scotland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Lolli has been a consultant for the 13-15 USA National teams for the last 2 years. She has a degree from the University of Sport in Rome, Italy and a Masters in Sport Science from the University of Chichester, UK. Lolli is also the Technical Director of the Down Syndrome International Swimming Organization and has helped organized the Down Syndrome Synchro World Championships in 2012 and 2014. SVETLANA MALINOVSKAYA 13-15 HEAD COACH Svetlana started coaching in 1997 at the School of Synchronized Swimming of Olympic Reserve in Minsk, Belarus. After immigrating to the US, she worked as an Assistant Coach for the New Canaan Aquinas then became the Head Coach of ANA Synchro in Andover, Massachusetts in 2007. In 2013, she started a new team - Optima Synchro which has placed two swimmers on the 13-15 National Team. Svetlana was the Assistant Coach of the 13-15 National Team which placed first in Solo, Duet and Team at the 2014 Pan-American Championships before she became the 13-15 National Team Head Coach. Svetlana graduated from the Belarus State University of Physical Education with a Bachelor Degree; Teacher of Physical Education and Swimming Coach. As an athlete, Svetlana trained at the College of the Olympic Reserve in Minsk, Belarus. She won 8 titles as a National Champion in Duet and 2 titles in Solo. She was a member of the Republic of Belarus National Team from 1988 to 1999, competing at the European Championships, European Cup and the World Championships. Svetlana was awarded the Masters of Sports of the USSR as recognition of her elite athlete status. 2015 All-Star Camp 5
SARA LOWE 12&UNDER HEAD COACH Sara Lowe is currently Stanford University s Head Coach. She has been coaching the National Teams for several years: the Senior National Team in 2013, the Junior National Team in 2011, and the 12 & Under National Team in 2010. Since 2014, she has been the Head Coach of the 12 & Under National Team. Sara was also a USA Synchro All-American from 2000 through 2005 as a four-time member of the U.S. National Team I and three-time member of the Junior National Team. She was also a member of the 2003 Pan-American Team, winning the gold medal, and the 2004 Olympic Team, bringing home the bronze medal. Sara began her collegiate athletic career at Stanford in the fall of 2004. She was a fourtime collegiate All-American and a member of the Cardinal team which won four consecutive Collegiate National Championships, serving as captain for three years. Sara graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in Communication. FRED PASQUALIN GYMNASTICS COACH Fred has been the Sport Director and Head Coach at Lyon Gym (male gymnastics club) for 22 years. He has a bachelor degree in Psychology, a Bachelor degree in Sport Science and Coaching, and a Masters degree in Coaching Artistic Gymnastics.Fred is certified as a National Level Gymnastics Judge. As a coach, he has won 103 Gold Medals at French National Championships since 1991. He has also won a Gold Medal at the World Games in 2005 and 2005, and a Gold Medal at the World Championship in 2005 in Acrobatic Rock n Roll Fred has experience working with Acrobatic Rock n Roll, Hip Hop and Acrobatic Skiing. He has also done casting for Dragone and Cirque du Soleil. Fred started working with Synchronized Swimming in 2013 with the World University Games Team. During this time, he has learned and analyzed the sport to provide athletes and coaches with sport specific land exercises. 2015 All-Star Camp 6
