2 Hazardous Waste Site Operations ASRI will provide Hazardous Materials Training Sessions in accordance with OSHA regulations found at 29 CFR A half-day incident drill, in full personal protective equipment is a mandatory portion of this training. Additionally, this course is a pre-requisite for the following three courses Nuclear Weapons Decontamination, Chemical Weapons Decontamination, and Biological Weapons Decontamination. 3 Hazardous Waste Management This 1-day session provides training in the fundamentals of waste management both nationally and internationally, with an emphasis on New York State Laws. This course is geared towards making all employees aware of their hazardous waste responsibilities. Workers will learn how to protect themselves, fellow workers, their company, and the environment. Manifest systems Cradle to grave tracking Vehicle transportation Inter-modal Transportation Packaging Labeling Regulations Chemicals properties Material segregation and storage Permit Required Confined Space This 1-day session meets the OSHA training requirements for confined spaces and permitrequired confined spaces 29 CFR Lectures are supplemented with an entry drill performed by the students in full personal protective equipment. 4 Safety Hazards This 1-day course shall cover the general safety items included within the OSHA General Safety Standard. It is a broad based training session to introduce workers to the general hazards associated with industrial working environments. This course prepares students to respond to a Nuclear Weapons incident. The class is required training for all emergency response personnel involved in the decontamination operations. Course consists of ½ day lecture and ½ day field exercise. A prerequisite for this course is the Hazardous Waste Site Operations Course. The class is required training for all emergency response personnel involved in the decontamination operations. Course consists of ½ day lecture and ½ day field exercise. A prerequisite for this course is the Hazardous Waste Site Operations Course. 6 Personal Protective Equipment This 1-day course is designed to provide an in depth knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as defined in OSHA 29 CFR Individuals participating in this course shall receive in-depth training on the selection, use and limitations of different types of PPE. This course consists of ½ day lecture and ½ day field exercise. Different types of PPE OSHA Regulations PPE selection Proper PPE use Hazard assessment and equipment selection Maintenance and cleaning of PPE PPE maintenance program requirements Employee/Employer responsibilities for PPE Use limitations of PPE Hazard Communication This 1-day course is designed to follow OSHA regulations found at 29 CFR , as well as New York State Right to Know Regulations. This course is tailored towards potential hazards associated with work at your facility.
