The College of Business has 3,100 undergraduate students pursuing 12 majors in business disciplines and over 500 graduate students pursuing MBA (including EMBA, PEMBA and MBA Outreach), MAc (including MAc Outreach), MS and Ph.D. degrees. Directed the planning and execution of the College s Strategic Plan that will impact our current students, the 155 members of the faculty and staff, and our 38,000+ alumni. The college has achieved recognition in the following rankings: #24 for public undergraduate programs (#42 overall) by US News and World Report (2011) #32 for on-campus MBA programs (#63 overall) by US News and World Report (2011). #16 overall (both private and public) for the Physician EMBA Program by Modern Physician. #75 Executive MBA, a top program from among public and private, national and international universities (#35 among US only business schools) by the Financial Time, a jump of nine places from last year s rankings. Among the significant COB achievements are: Financial o During the last four years (of seven years) of the It begins at Auburn Campaign, raised $26.2 million exceeding the goal, the stretch goal and ending with a total of $33.3 million. o Increased COB endowment to $32 million at the end of the campaign. o Increased undergraduate scholarships over 156% to $562,000. o Increased annual giving 94% to $680,000.

Programmatic o A required international experience has been added to the on-campus graduate programs (MBA, MS, MAc) similar to what is offered Executive MBAs. o Additional faculty, tenure-track (6) and non-tenure track (3), have been added to increase the quality of the upper level courses in the undergraduate program. o The COB Office of Professional and Career Development (OPCD) was dedicated and previewed in March The OPCD is professionally staffed (six staff members) and resides in renovated space (5,400 sq. ft in the Lowder Business Bldg) serving all undergraduate and graduate business students. This is the only full-service (for undergraduate & graduate business students) professional and career development center among the Southeastern Conference b-schools, an Auburn peer group. Over $750,000 was generated from corporate sponsors. o Technology in the labs and classrooms will be traded out regularly on a fouryear cycle. o Added the Medial Production Group to the COB to ensure continuation and expansion of executive and distance courses. o Rolled-out a new executive program, Masters in Real Estate Development, that is a joint COB and College of Architecture, Design and Construction Program. o Opened the TIGER Lab (Trading, Investment & Global Economic Research Lab), a state of the art trading lab. o Created a new major, supply chain management, through the combination of existing programs housed in two different departments. o Added new aircraft to the flight programs and secured funding for a glass cockpit simulator. o Focused the efforts in accounting to raise the pass rate to over 90% (first-time pass rate for all 4 sections) on the CPA exam. o Fostered growth in both the Executive MBA and Physician Executive MBA such that 2008 saw the largest entering classes for each, 57 and 34, respectively. EMBA entering classes for 2009 and 2010 were 55 and 60 students, respectively. o Introduced the Bloomberg terminals (paid for by outside resources) into both in-class and out-of-class activities. o Extensive reach into the business community through ATAC (Auburn Technical Assistance Center) especially through six-sigma and lean seminars. Research and Scholarship o Created two centers, Center for Ethical Organizations and the Center for International Finance and Global Competitiveness; both have received significant outside funding. o Hired two new eminent scholars (one new position and the other a vacant position) to bring the total to four eminent scholars with the COB. o Became a subscriber (at $35,000+ per year) to the Wharton Research Data Service (WRDS) to foster research and ensure COB a competitive position on hiring new faculty.

A result has been that COB faculty publications in the top 40 journals (as used in the Financial Times for rankings) for the last three years numbers 29 top journal articles. Almost 2/3 of the articles are from faculty hired during the last five years, including six from assistant professors who are still untenured. Through COB funding, COB participation in national and international conference presentations has risen dramatically. ( On leave for the academic year ) SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY SYRACUSE, NEW YORK 7/01-8/04 Associate Dean, MBA & MS Programs Martin J. Whitman School of Management Directed three MBA Programs (full-time MBA, part-time MBA, and imba) and one MS Program that have approximately 380 enrolled students. With a staff of six, the office was responsible for all activities starting with promotion and recruiting through faculty scheduling, curricula development and ending with program certification and graduation. 3/96-7/01 Director, Executive MBA Program Martin J. The EMBA created over a $3.0 million profit to the university over the last four classes (avg. enrollment of 29 students per class).
