I have implemented these strategies myself in a variety on niches and if you follow the instructions properly, you shall see a huge growth potential as an affiliate. 2 Please bear in mind that this is a no-fluff report, and I shall not go into explaining the very basics of affiliate marketing. I shall consider that you already know what PPC, Marketing, Clickbank etc. mean. So, let s start In order to successfully promote products as an affiliate, you need a set of rules and a basic blueprint (plan) that will form the foundation of your success. Broadly, that plan is: Finding the right product to promote. Doing research to find what s working for affiliates. Creating multiple target points effectively. Expanding your scope while managing older target points. Rinse and Repeat (I love this line ) Let s cover each aspect in brief. I have explained everything in the videos which came along with this manual. That s why I ll keep it short and to-the-point. Forgive my rush in explaining the concepts. 3 Finding the right product to promote Although, in the videos I have explained the concepts using a very popular clickbank product called Earth4Energy I feel that you should not start off with hugely popular products for now. You can do that once you have a firm grip on the concepts. So how do we find the right products to promote? The answer lies in the Clickbank Marketplace. Follow the instructions as given in the video to choose a worth product. As a guideline, use the following parameters while searching: 1) Earned/Sale: This should be Greater than $20. Come one man, you re promoting a product for which buyers have to take out their credit card. You owe it to yourself to earn at least $20 for that. 2) Gravity: This is very tricky but for now, search among products that have a Gravity between 20 and ) % Referred: This should be Greater than 80%. Any less then it means that either the product owner is promoting his product diretly, or that the sale system for that product is not solid enough for affiliates. 4) %/Sale: This should be At least 60%. 4 convincing a visitor to turn into a Buyer. For that, you deserve your due. Tip: For now, please don t even think about promoting products in the Marketing & Ads, Money & Employment, and Business to Business categories. Be safe, and choose the other categories for a better chance of survival. Apart from the above parameters, go to the product vendor s sales page, and search for an Affiliates link somewhere on the page. If you find it, then have a look at the affiliate resources that the product vendor provides. If the affiliate resources page does not provide much info or if there isn t any at all Then please don t promote the product because it shows that the product owner is not interested in the product himself. 5 Doing research to find what s working for affiliates The first place to watch out for is the affiliate resources page for the product. Many product vendors provide tons of hints, tips, and resources to help you promote the product. You may go one step ahead by sending a personal to the product vendor and asking him: What s working for your affiliates? Some vendors won t care to reply, but those who do shall give you information that might help you in some way of the other. Basically you want to make money. In offline marketing, you need clients/customers who will buy a product with your recommendation/persuasion - and that s how you make money. Similarly, in IM, you need Traffic that will go to your Web page and take action for which you earn money. Now, there is a LOT of detail to get into, but the basic sales process is like this. 6 Let s go over some basic definitions of the terms described here: Free Traffic: It basically consists of Organic Traffic (from Natural Search Engine results), Video Marketing Traffic, Article Marketing Traffic, Social Marketing Traffic, and tons more. Paid Traffic: Consists of PPC Marketing Traffic, Ezine Marketing Traffic, and tons more. Webpages can be of different types. You want your traffic to go to a webpage of your choice which you know will convert the best. Direct Linking: Directly drive traffic to the sales page (of either YOUR product, or through an affiliate link to someone else s product) Pre-Sell Page: A page where you highlight the benefits of the product you re selling and try to convince the buyer to take action. Squeeze Page: The longer you stay in IM, the more you ll realize that having a targeted and responsive List is the holy grail in IM. So, you WANT AN LIST. The best way to do that is through a squeeze page which is exclusively meant for prospects to give their address to you. Review Pages: These are where you ll write product reviews to give your own opinion and entice your visitors to take action. These are a few of the traditional means that affiliates have used to promote products. You may read it again or note it down somewhere so that you know your options while promoting a product. 7 For example, I have seen cases were direct linking to a product (using PPC) yields 40% more profit than directing traffic to a product review page. Look in the video to see how I research to find what method might work to promote a product as an affiliate. The more you research and experiment, the better it gets! I whole heartedly recommend that you go out there and work on all types of landing pages, and methods while promoting a product. Anything may work. Be sure to keep track of your affiliate links by using the TID feature in Clickbank. Tip: Say you create a squeeze page and also setup an autoresponder series for prospects captured through your squeeze page. Then, use a different tid for each which will let you track which s are converting better. 8 Creating multiple target points effectively So you ve done your research and now you know which promotional methods work as an affiliate. Now, comes the hardest part You need to attack the product from every angle feasible. Do NOT leave any promotional method behind because our main task is not just getting a few sales a day. Our task is to become the coveted super affiliate and get many many sales every day. As a rule of thumb, follow the following sequence: 1) Take a domain name: If the product s name is: XYZ, then take a domain name like: XYZreview.com or XYZinfo.com or XYZrevealed.com or XYZscam.com. Such domain names work well both with PPC, and Organic Traffic. You may take multiple domain names if you re capable of working on many sites together. 2) Outsource Everything: Buddy, the kind of promotion we re going to do will require a lot of work. Let s face it You only have 24 hours in a day. Outsource the work and reap the profits in the long run. Article Writing, Landing Page Creation (if you re not familiar with web development), Review Writing, SEO (link building) can all be outsourced. 9 with clear description as to what s required from the freelancer. You shall receive bids and you can select any freelancer that you feel is capable (Hint: Look for the freelancers reviews and ratings) of doing the work for you. 3) Setup a Wordpress blog: You want to rule in the SERP rankings. For that, you need a well structured website. There is nothing better than Wordpress for this job. Google loves Wordpress. Setup your wordpress blog with the required plugins and add a few articles including a product review page. Make the product review page as your first page, and make sure you have a few catchy banners/buttons in place for people to click and buy the product. Bookmark this site only ONCE to digg, reddit, furl, propeller, swik etc. 4) Blogger, Wordpress.com, Squidoo, Hubpages: Setup simple one-page or two-page review based websites on Blogger, Wordpress.com (a free Hosted wordpress platform), Squidoo and Hubpages. Link back your main website from these sites with the product s name as your anchor link. Bookmark all these websites. 5) Implementing what you learnt: In the previous step, you learnt the methods that affiliates use to make a killing with the product. Now is the time to implement whatever you learnt. If squeeze pages work, then setup a squeeze page and autoresponder series. If direct linking works, the either gamble on the search network (if you can displace the current affiliate without much damage), or blast off on the content network (its cheap and effective). 10 shall choose to promote. But, remember one thing: Be sure to implement every single method that the current affiliates are using to promote the product effectively. 6) Getting Traffic: I wish I had the time to explain you the secrets of PPC domination, but that s out of scope of this book. Do your due research and find out the ads and keywords that work for the product. Then just copy-paste those in your campaigns. That s the easiest way to get started. Apart from PPC, we have already done a bit of SEO in the 2 nd and 3 rd step. There is a lot more to do in SEO Such as getting high quality backlinks with the desired anchor text. You can hire a freelancer to post in forums (with your link in the signature), write comments on blogs (not spam just write a line or two regarding the blog post with your link), answer in the yahoo answers directory. Pay to do some directory submissions, and a whole lot more. Apart from SEO, you also have the article directories such as and where you can submit rewritten articles with your link in the bio box. Tip: All of this may seem a bit intense and hard work. But, if you outsource the work and think smartly, you shall be able to create money-making streams for months and years to come. I recommend you create multiple domains, and create as many target points as possible for complete domination. 11 Expanding your scope while managing older target points I think the title says everything. Get involved in all spheres of marketing: Marketing PPC Marketing Article Marketing SEO I think in the end its all about the effort you put in for each target point. If you rush through things and create a mess out of everything, then it ll hurt your future income potential. Handle each target point one at a time. It takes days/weeks/months to effectively create many target points, but if done properly you shall have created a huge income stream by simply following the basics. I have implemented this method with various Clickbank products, and more recently with a CPA offer which is now responsible for a $16,000/mo income stream with almost zero effort from my side. I simply created a review blog, setup a few ppc campaigns (with a max budget of $100/day and profit of about $150/day), outsourced the article writing and SEO, and created various onepage websites all linking to my main site. 12 me about 2 weeks to complete but now I get $16,000/mo for the 2-week effort. Now, I can focus on other products to promote by doing the last step Rinse and Repeat Clickbank is an amazing profit warehouse if you know how to dedicate your efforts Nothing comes easy. You need to put in time and effort. But, the fruits are well worth it. Yes, there is a little investment involved and there is always a risk involved. But if you know what your competitors are doing, then everything becomes clear. Focus your efforts and manage your time effectively. Create multiple income streams so that if suddenly one website gets shut down, you don t panic because you have multiple income streams giving you the cash.
