GIVE WORKPLACE TOURS Connect with your local school and open the doors to your workplace. Let students see firsthand what work looks like in the real world. SHAPE WORK-BASED LESSON PLANS Partner with teachers on curriculum development to include career-based learning topics. Help students make the connection between the work world and their academics. OFFER JOB SHADOWS Have students trail staff to experience the day-to-day responsibilities required for a career in your field. They ll gain invaluable insight on communication and leadership skills. PROVIDE INTERNSHIPS AND EXTERNSHIPS Put students to work through internships to help them gain the skills necessary for workplace success in the 21st century. Provide teachers with externships, which allow them to incorporate real-world experiences into their classrooms. LEAD A SKILLS WORKSHOP Visit classrooms to teach students firsthand about vital topics from interviewing and resume creation, to industry-specific career skills.
