The 198-room hotel is among the best-performing locations in the Embassy Suites franchise. ATRIO POS EMPOWERS EMBASSY SUITES TO EXPAND F & B WHILE PLANNING FOR MAJOR RENOVATIONS TOP-PERFORMING WASHINGTON D.C. HOTEL OVERCOMES OBSTACLES WITH FLEXIBLE CLOUD-BASED POINT-OF-SALE SOLUTION SITUATION: One of the top-performing hotels in the franchise, Embassy Suites Hotel at Chevy Chase Pavilion was poised for growth with a planned $10 million renovation in The hotel was moving to a more metropolitan and boutique feel, but an outdated off-the-shelf point-of-sale solution inhibited growth of their food and beverage operations with its limited connectivity and flexibility. Hotel leaders wanted to expand F & B offerings, but needed an easy-to-use point-of-sale solution that avoided the expensive capital and hardware investments of traditional systems. The Chevy Chase Pavilion location has a small F & B operation consisting of a breakfast service that converts to a limited bar in the evenings. Renovation plans for a 16 - seat full- service bar seemed an impossible challenge with their rudimentary point - of- sale solution. It was better than manual, but not by much. Reporting was non-existent and you would need to call a tech person to try and make any changes. We were looking for a more sophisticated system, said Jeff Brainard, General Manager of the The Embassy Suites.

2 The hotel wasn t looking exclusively for a cloud-based system, but was thrilled to partner with PAR Springer- Miller and their ATRIO POS system when it became evident that the new cloud-based solution would enable them to realize their F & B growth plans without using capital funding that was earmarked for the hotel s renovations. The responsiveness is huge, said Brainard.
