2 1. Project Overview The Spares Monitoring Tool manages and monitors the spares details and also record the break down that takes place in each cell of a production industry. The tool is well defined and secured with many customized options. The tool generates graphical reports, which help to analyze the break down mishap. This tool highly helps to manage and monitor the spares in store and process of spares in cells, and also helps the user to analyze the break down incidence that take place in each cell. It covers right from entry of Stock to usage of materials in Production. The spares stock is monitored and inventory values of the stocks are calculated. The tool is capable of creating codification of each items/spares and the application allows the user to deploy the items in their respective location. The application gives a graphical interface, where the physical locations of the item are simulated. The tool should be capable to send mail to purchase unit when there is insufficient stock. The tool should also be capable to record the breakdown that takes place in each cell. 2. Features Maintaining Spares Master Importing spares details from excel sheets, and thus updating spares and location master Assigning spares to location by Drag- Drop method Creation of Location to hold these Spares o Each type of Spares are placed in unique locations, so that it can retrieved easily Add Vendors to Spares, so as to identify the supplier when a need arise for purchase of spares.
