All Vodafone customers have a monthly data roaming spend cap of 38 (excluding VAT), to help prevent overspending while abroad. Vodafone will send you free text alerts when you are 80% and 100% through your monthly spend cap. Once you reach the cap limit an automatic data roaming bar will be applied, and you will not be able to use any more data abroad for the remainder of your monthly billing cycle. The cap applies to data roaming in Europe Zone 1 only - you can continue to data roam in Zone 2 without a cap. ipad users also have a monthly spend cap of 38. However, as ipad is unable to receive text alerts, it will be capped without advance notice unless you opt out. Vodafone are working on an solution specifically for ipad customers, which will be available this autumn.from 1st July 2011 a data cap of 100 when roaming in Rest of World is applicable to customers who have chosen to have the 38 European Data Cap.It s easy to opt out of the cap. 25 Flexibility - O2 Retention Tools Temporary Suspension Customers reducing their workforce may not want the additional worry of losing key contact numbers if they also cancel their mobiles. That s why O2 have provided Temporary Suspension. What is It? The service allows customers to suspend some of their mobiles for a limited period. Suspended mobiles won t be able to make outbound calls but will continue to receive inbound calls. This means that customers can remain contactable, at a time when securing new business and retaining existing customers is more important than ever. The customer won t have to pay a monthly subscription for any suspended mobiles and there won t be any call charges. That means reduced cost for their business. And when circumstances improve, it s easy for them to reactivate the mobiles and add them back onto their account. You can offer the service for three, six or twelve months. The maximum total suspension period is fifteen months. Who is it For? Existing customers who are downsizing, but want to keep their numbers. The customer must be more than six months into their current contract and have six or more handsets on their account. You can also use with prospects and at the point of re-sign to reassure them that we can be flexible if they face financial problems later. How much does it cost? Free for the first three months 10 one off for an additional six months 20 one off for an additional 12 months There are no reactivation costs. Once a mobile is reactivated, standard monthly subs apply. Anything Else? There are limits to how many handsets a customer can have on Temporary Suspension - refer to The Sales Website for full details before offering this to customers. Not available if the customer is in arrears. Customers who leave O2 while in suspension will have terminations fees applied at full rate. Customers contract end date will be extended by the suspension period for the suspended mobiles only. If the handset is a primary user/parent this status needs to be moved to another user. Rollover minutes accrued will be lost. Voic will be deactivated for suspended mobiles and it will not be possible to divert calls to other numbers. IMPORTANT: it will not count as a disconnection. Signal Issues - O2 Boostbox O2 Boostbox is a small, low power 3G box for the home office or business that gives local 3G voice & data coverage. It s a plug and play devise and is connected to O2 s network via broadband customers would need a 3G handset and SIM and there s no change to any existing mobile tariffs. It s connected to O2 via any broadband connection, but O2 Broadband is optimised for Boostbox. There are 2 types of Boostbox available. The standard cell and the larger office cell. Larger office cells can be grouped to cover even larger areas. Both Boostboxes have a maximum of 32 users that can be registered against them. If the customer requires a multi-deployed Boostbox solution i.e. several Boostbox s that handover to each other, then the maximum number of users that can be registered across the group is 250. FAQ s Q - Is it possible to migrate from one boost box to another when on a call? A - O2 can deploy Boostbox s in a group, so that as the user moves through the building the Boostbox s hand over to each other and the call is seamlessly transferred. Q - How much band width will once call use? A - 60 KBPS Q - How many calls can the home and business Boostbox handle simultaneously? A - Home; 4 concurrent voice or data calls up to 25 metres radius range A - Enterprise; 8 concurrent voice or data calls up to metres radius range The small office Boostbox costs ex VAT and the larger Boostbox costs ex VAT. To order an O2 Boostbox please contact [email protected] For more information on O2 Boostbox please visit the O2 sales webiste: SIM Only Tariffs The simple way for customers to cut costs. New These are tariffs with no new mobile, just a SIM. You can use these tariffs to reassure prospects and customers that O2 can be flexible and help them control costs in the future if their circumstances change. Where necessary you can discuss SIM only at acquisition to help close deals (i.e. 'this is something we can offer you in the future'), but it can only be used at the point of re-sign. They are available on 24 and 36 month contracts (36 months applicable to legacy tariffs only) and are up to 15 less than the standard tariffs. Adding additional users costs almost 50% less too. These tariffs offer exactly the same minutes, texts and benefits as the standard tariffs and are available to customers who are out of contract or within 30 days of their contract end date. And remember, as the customer doesn t get a new mobile, you won t need to supply/ and or subsidise any hardware. Available at point of re-sign only (must be out of commitment) Please note that SIM Only is not applicable on O2 migrations or for customers you do not manage currently. O2 Convert For some businesses, cutting costs means reducing their workforce which in turn means they may want to cancel some of the mobiles on their account. If this happens mid-contract, they will usually have to pay termination fees. To help customers in this situation, O2 have developed O2 Convert. What is it? O2 Convert allows customers to avoid termination fees by letting their employees take their mobile numbers with them when they leave. These mobile numbers are migrated to consumer Pay Monthly contracts and moving forward ex-employees pick up their own bills. This saves the customer money and enables them to help people impacted by downsizing. Who is it For? Existing customers who are downsizing or those who want to reduce the number of business mobiles they provide to their staff. The customer must be more than six months into their current contract and have six or more handsets on their account. You can also use with prospects and at the point of re-sign to reassure them that we can be flexible if they face financial problems later. Anything Else? Users can choose any consumer Pay Monthly tariff. If the handset is a primary user/parent this status needs to be moved to another user. Not available if the customer is in arrears. Until the transfer is complete, the customer is still responsible for any account charges relating to the handset being moved. There are limits to how many handsets a customer can have on O2 Convert refer to the Sales Website for full details before offering this to customers. IMPORTANT it will not count as a disconnection. 25

Europe Traveller 30 day rolling 7.00 Europe Traveller 12 months p per minute to make calls to the UK and 1000 minutes to receive calls* *23p to make a call from anywhere in zones 1 and 2 to anywhere in zones 1 and 2 plus back to the UK EU regulations mean that transferring data in Europe will be limited to 16MB/month. This impacts things like mobile devices and laptops with mobile broadband connections whilst in the EU. This is an automatic opt in so Orange limit all customers unless they opt out of the cap. What does this mean for my customers? Some of your customers use data roaming in the EU and some of them use more than 16MB in a month. If these customers don t opt out they will be capped. When a customer data roams in the EU Orange will send them text messages when they reach 8MB and when they are close to the 16MB limit. Once they reach the limit their data will be cut off unless they contact Orange to opt out. Customers who have chosen to apply a data roaming bundle on their account which provides more than 16MB of data will automatically be opted out of this cap. What are the next steps? Customers can opt out of the data cap and most of the customers who use data in the EU will want to opt out as they are not going to want to stop receiving s or not use mobile broadband if they are on an important business trip. The decision maker on the account (or a designated 3rd party) can call Orange Customer Services to opt out of the cap for individual numbers on the account or for the account as a whole. 35
