Giving back is one of FIS five Guiding Principles and one our employees are extremely passionate about. Through their efforts to hold donation drives, bake sales, participate in walks and runs, build a home for the less fortunate, donate food to local food shelters and much more, giving back is one of the strongest elements of the FIS culture. No matter the cause, they rally behind it and truly make a difference. FIS GIVES BACK It s difficult to sum up the sheer magnitude of our 40,000+ employees giving back in their communities, but we did our best over the next few pages to spotlight some of the amazing philanthropic work being done around the globe. WE OFFER FIVE EMPLOYEE GIVING PROGRAMS. FIS CARES FIS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION The FIS Charitable Foundation complements the donations and volunteer efforts of our employees by providing more than $1 million annually in financial support to global charitable causes. EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING DISASTER AID When disasters strike FIS employees answer the call for help with monetary donations, supplies and volunteer hours. Our employees demonstrate their own generous commitment to giving by regularly volunteering their own time and money. Most of the time it s personal supporting the organizations that are nearest and dearest to their hearts. U.S. employees can donate $1-5 per pay period to help other colleagues facing catastrophic or unforeseen events and financial hardship. FIS GREENLIGHT INITIATIVE The environment comes first for many of our employees who work at the grass-roots level to reduce our corporate carbon footprint.
FIS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION The FIS Charitable Foundation (CF) is a non-profit, non-stock corporation that serves as the primary source for FIS charitable contributions. The CF complements the philanthropic and volunteer efforts of our employees by providing financial support to qualified organizations operating within our areas of focus and is prioritized toward giving back through the efforts and results of our employees. The CF considers financial donations and/or team contributions/matches upon request. $1MILLION THE FIS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION EXCEEDS $1 MILLION IN DONATIONS ANNUALLY. 2
EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING Outside of the FIS Charitable Foundation s (CF) annual giving donations of more than $1 million, our employees demonstrate their own generous commitment to giving by regularly volunteering their own time and money. Most of the time it s personal giving to the organizations that are nearest and dearest to their hearts. DAYS OF LEAVE WERE DONATED BY AND TO EMPLOYEES IN INDIA FOR MEDICAL LEAVE AND RECOVERY 597THROUGH THE GIFT OF TIME PROGRAM. 3
EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING Birmingham Children s Hospital, United Kingdom* Macmillan Cancer Support, United Kingdom The Spring Foundation, Poland Zending over Grenzen, Netherlands This is a small sample of organizations our workforce supports around the world. EUROPE NORTH AMERICA ASIA PACIFIC SOUTH/LATIN AMERICA Association of Parents and Friends of Intellectually Disabled People, Brazil* Casas Andrè Luiz, Brazil Association of Assistance to Disabled Children, Brazil Obreiros da Luz Divina Group, Brazil American Cancer Society American Diabetes Association American Heart Association Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF) Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida Cathedral Arts Project Good Shepherd Canada Inner City Scholarship Fund Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation KIPP Jacksonville Leukemia & Lymphoma Society* Metrolina Association for the Blind (MAB) Multiple Sclerosis Society Ronald McDonald House Teach for America The United Way Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank Wolfson s Children Hospital Wreaths Across America Association of Parents and Friends of Ban Nok Khamin, Thailand Children s Society of Singapore Dream in a Shoebox, Philippines* Nethroddaya School for the Blind, India Rumah Wawasan, Malaysia Soroptimist International of Ortigas and Environs, Philippines The Smile Foundation, India Swamittome, India *348 * 17,482 Books donated to the Association of Parents and Friends of Intellectually Disabled People 2014 total funds raised for the Birmingham Children s Hospital *$405K 2014 total funds raised for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Team in Training) *594 Shoeboxes filled with school supplies donated by employees for the Dream in a Shoebox organization SOUTH/LATIN AMERICA EUROPE NORTH AMERICA ASIA PACIFIC 4
EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society s Team in Training is one of FIS largest employee fundraisers. $930K TOTAL MONEY RAISED SINCE When I signed up for that first event, the scariest part for me was raising the funds. But, within days of sending my and sharing my story, I had exceeded my minimum and was a top fundraiser for the event. Most people want to help, they just need to be given the opportunity. FIS employees are the most giving people I have ever met. Serena Smith, Employee, survivor and LLS/TNT fundraising champion TEAM FIS DISNEY MARATHON RUNNERS TRAVELED FROM DOZENS OF U.S. STATES AND SAUDI ARABIA 5
FIS CARES FIS Cares is a peer-to-peer giving program designed to provide short-term support to our FIS family members during times when a catastrophic and unforeseen event has resulted in severe financial hardship. U.S. employees can donate between $1 5 per pay period to the FIS Cares program. 25% OF OUR U.S. WORKFORCE PARTICIPATES IN THE FIS CARES PROGRAM 118% INCREASE IN PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN 2014 The insurance covers the house but in that moment of devastation, you don t know what s going on or what you are even doing. And that s the kind of immediate need the FIS Cares program provides. That one to five dollars is providing meals, clothing it can really touch someone when they need it most. Tonya Jobe Someone from HR called me and said we deposited $5,000 into your checking account. It helped so much. Bill Settles Little Rock employees Tonya Jobe (center) and Bill Settles (left) received much-needed donations from the FIS Cares program to aid in their rebuilding efforts after tornadoes destroyed their homes. Pictured in 2014 with then FIS Chairman and CEO, Frank Martire (right). 6
DISASTER AID Unfortunately, we hear about natural disasters all of the time. They can happen anytime, anywhere. Given the size and geographical locations of our workforce they often hit home for us. And as always, our employees step up in a big way for disaster fundraising and/or donation drives. The Charitable Foundation also contributes to these drives EARTHQUAKES IN HAITI $25,000 donation to the Red Cross 2011 JAPANESE TSUNAMIS $25,000 donation to the Red Cross 2012 HURRICANE SANDY $50,000 to relief efforts in the Northeast 2013 PHILIPPINES SUPER TYPHOON HAIYAN $25,000 donation to the Red Cross OKLAHOMA CITY TORNADOES $10,000 donation, $44,000 employee donations LITTLE ROCK TORNADOES $10,000 donation, $23,000 employee donations RECORD FLOODING IN INDIA $38,000 employee donations via FIS Cares 7
GREENLIGHT INITIATIVE In addition to the steps our operations and facilities teams take to reduce our carbon footprint, the FIS GreenLight Initiative is driven at the grass-roots levels and provides a forum for employees passionate about the environment and environmental concerns. For World Environment Day 2014, we asked employees to commit to at least one of four suggested environmental behaviors. A third of our global workforce participated and in turn, the FIS Charitable Foundation donated 16,000 trees to the Plant a Billion organization. 16,000 TREES PLANTED AS A RESULT OF EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION IN WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY. 8
