ROCs: Renewable Operations Centres SunEdison s three renewable operations centres (ROCs) are strategically located in Chennai (India), Madrid (Spain), and San Francisco (USA) to monitor all of our plants located around the world 24/7. When the monitoring system detects any malfunction or risk of a malfunction, it generates warnings and sends them to our local teams, which immediately go in to action to repair the plants in situ. All of SunEdison s ROC facilities are configured for full redundancy and seamless failover, regardless of location. The dashboards provide detailed information about your power plants by presenting indicators to accurately maximize the return on investment. SunEdison s operation and maintenance (O&M) service supervises each and every one of the electrical and mechanical components in the system. Inspection, cleaning, and vegetation control The cleaning of the modules and vegetation control are vital factors to increase the production of a photovoltaic plant and extend its lifetime. This service includes periodic plant inspections and a number of module cleanings and vegetation controls that will depend on the location of the plant. A clean installation that is not affected by shadows generated by the uncontrolled growth of vegetation can generate up to 30% more energy than another whose modules are covered with dust or in which uncontrolled vegetation casts shadows and causes damage to the installation. Corrective Maintenance Programmes SunEdison s Renewable Operations Centres, ROCs continuously monitor all of the plants. When an anomaly is detected in the production, a check is run, the problem is given priority, and a local team goes to the installation to repair any functional faults. Thanks to our network of teams in the field, the response is immediate, which avoids any lost production, and Authorized Service Provider (ASP) relationships with vendors provide flexibility for warranty repairs.
