8 Open Issues for creation and processing Different spec s from Regions and Organisations. Some are more detailed other quite vague Examples: EUR? CFMU allows EUR, RVR. CFMU does limitate length of item 18 tags Exemptions for RNAV, CPDLC and 8.33kHz will be represented by inserting the letter Z in Item 10a of the FPL, and then inserting the appropriate descriptors in the following indicators in Item 18: a) In NAV/, insert RNAVX or RNAVINOP as appropriate; b) In DAT/, insert CPDLCX; c) In COM/, insert EXM833. Dedicated line feed within item 10 to be more readable required? Do we expect split of long flight plans (more than 1800 chars?) Creation is much more strict in validation Processing will accept with less rules 8

9 Open Issues for conversion Each conversion from NEW to PRESENT format is a downgrade of the flight plan ifself.
