These 24- and 48-port high-density IDC Patch Panels feature industry-standard RJ45 ports with easy-to-read labels. Terminated at the rear using V-8 IDC KATT connectors, these patented connectors improve termination security with their unique V shape that flexes without fatigue. Integral Patch Panel port sensors register status of all ports connected or open and transmit this information to the Real Time Software via the System Monitor. The panels exceed the performance specified by TSB-67 channel and basic link limits. They are PowerSum compliant for cleaner signals and reduced near-end crosstalk (NEXT), tested to 350MHz, and designed to eliminate short link resonance problems. Instantly not minutes or hours later the Molex Real Time System updates the database and network map on any connectivity change made on the network. Authorised changes, unauthorised changes, even changes made during a power outage are automatically updated in the connectivity database. If a network connection between the database and hardware is lost, the Real Time software will automatically resynchronise itself upon the re-establishment of the network. Work orders are created and automatically distributed electronically paperwork is eliminated. The system can never lie. Here s why: Above each patch panel port is a patch cord contact point that is constantly monitored by the Molex Real Time System Monitor. Whether a patch cord monitor wire is engaged or disengaged with a port contact point, the Real Time System Monitor senses the port s "real time state of connectivity" through this "out-ofband" circuit. Because the monitoring circuit is totally independent of the LAN ports it monitors, there is absolutely no impact on your network s performance, and there is no way the System Monitor can be fooled. Your network connectivity status is accurately reported without exception! ALARMS CAN TRIGGER CUSTOMISED AUTO-RESPONSES. Unlike other solutions, simple user-defined scripts can be written that automatically trigger an appropriate response to an alarm. For example, the Molex Real Time System can turn on a network camera, describe the event in an or send an alert to a pager. CREATES AN AUDIT TRAIL. Not only does the Real Time System monitor the real time connectivity status of your entire network; generate and distribute work orders; automatically confirm work order completion; and self-discover the devices at the remote end; but it also maintains a historical record of all changes that can be sorted, filtered and reported as the network administration staff requires. System setup and mapping is a simple 3-step process (1) Install Real Time Software and your network database on to a local server. (2) Connect I/O cables between the Patch Panels and System Monitor. (3) Touch the Port Wand to the first and last ports of each row of patch panel ports, and all ports are automatically mapped onto the Network Database.
