Goldstein, Ph.D. Evaluated the relationship between Miranda comprehension scores and factors commonly cited within the totality of circumstances test. Compared these relationships to those observed in the 1970s when norms were established for the original Instruments for Assessing Understanding and Appreciation of Miranda Rights.
