9 Clinical Data Management: Overview The Clinical Data Management program was established in Fall of The main objectives were to: Expand and Normalize the data set within the Clinical Data Warehouse Reduce the time to acquire data into the Clinical Data Warehouse Integration of financial, supply chain, and clinical data to better measure and manage operations across the continuum of care Identify Business Intelligence (BI) reporting needs and gaps in current BI tools. Evaluate BI industry to determine the best tool fit 9

10 Clinical Data Management: History The Clinical Data Management program was established in Fall of HCA is currently beginning the third phase of development that will take us to the end of Phase & 2012 Bought and implemented seven new technologies for HCA IT&S, cecare and Surgical Pilots, Reduced latency from 48 hours to 6 hours in Clinical Data Warehouse Phase Developed a dimensional model, established short term monitoring, Upgraded Technologies to latest versions Phase New Data sources, Transac<on Life Cycle Management, Reduce some latency to 5 minutes Phase Big Data and Advanced Analy<cs, Predic<ve, Real Time Analy<cs, Master Data Management Phase 4 The sky is the limit 10
