1 Crane PAX Crane PAX is the cornerstone of Crane Airline Suite. It is a modern passenger service system (PSS) that allows airlines and their affiliates to create, design, distribute and deliver advanced passenger services. As fully fledged, web-based PSS, it is comprised of inventory management, fares, marketing tools, central reservations (CRC), Internet and mobile reservation and ticketing, agency distribution, check-in and departure control and call centre capabilities. Fully integrated with all the major GDSs, Crane PAX provides a rich set of web services and integration options. Choice of fast growing airlines. Distribution - Under global and regional competition, It is a challenge to keep distribution costs down and maintain the quality and flexibility while increasing market share and global reach. Crane PAX distributes airline's services inventory through a wide range of channels giving the option to manage the rules of the play over a variety of direct and indirect channels. It is an open PSS, which allows airline s inventory to be distributed directly, without incurring additional distribution costs across channels of choice. 2 Indirect distribution channels supported with a rich set of proven integration methodologies include all major GDSs, online travel platforms, other airlines reservation systems (Interline and Code-share). Crane PAX supports code-share, GDS and interline agreements and integrates with other airlines' and partners' inventories which in turn benefits the airlines with extra revenue, increased wallet share and increased network reach by utilizing the power of their collective customer community. Charter Operations - Crane PAX supports charter operations with its advanced allotment capability. Full charters and split charters can be managed to unveil revenue opportunities. Ancillary Products and Services - Crane PAX has extensive capabilities for creating, promoting and marketing ancillaries over all the distribution channels. It supports many standard ancillary products and services commonly offered within the industry along with capabilities to define new ones easily. This provides the airlines the tools to create new revenue streams quickly and effectively. Crane PAX supports all Special Service Requests (SSR - complying IATA standards) for the purpose of managing ancillary products and services. Along with airline's own ancillaries, Crane PAX also allows partner airlines' ancillaries to be offered in relation to interlining and code-share services empowering the airline to maximise its ancillary revenues. Airline partners (Interline and Code-share) - Depending on the airline business model, there lie opportunities of interline and code-share with other carriers. Crane PAX is fully capable of interline and code-share management. This brings extra benefits to airlines in terms of marketing impact and growth in the passenger traffic. Agent Portal - Agent Platform is a web-based direct sales channel allowing airline's travel agents, ticketing offices, corporate clients and call centre users to do reservation & ticketing, reissue, refund and SSR sales among other operations. Airlines are able to set commissions, services fees, negotiated fares and policies for each point-of-sale in the platform.
3 Supporting each revenue generation, distribution and delivery stream commonly used in the industry, Crane PAX also allows airlines to up-sell ancillaries and cross-sell complementary travel services such as hotels, car rentals, insurance, transfers, destination events and airlines own ancillaries. Flexibility in configuration management and business processes definition tools results in increased efficiency and quality while increasing sales and optimizing customer touch points. Provided as application services, Crane PAX does not require investment in underlying infrastructure and it minimises up-front costs. Hitit Application Services cover hosting and operations of Crane PAX as well as support, maintenance and upgrades, distributing the operation costs over a number of years.
